The Watch
OceanX unveils a new model from the Sharkmaster collection. This timepiece is part of the brand's iconic lineup, presenting a superb diving watch. The house has chosen to modernize the timeless design that watch and ocean enthusiasts know well. This Sharkmaster 1000 SMS1012 features a round stainless steel case - iconic of dive models - measuring 44 mm in diameter with a thickness of 16.10 mm. This bold model will perfectly complement your wrist. A black ceramic unidirectional bezel frames the dial, adding a refined edge with every movement. It is graduated and features a fluted finish alongside a crown at 3 o'clock, used to set the hours, minutes, and seconds hands. Finally, your analog time reading is optimized through a sapphire crystal above the dial, featuring an industry-recognized anti-reflective coating. The screw-down caseback guarantees water resistance to 10 ATM.
The Dial
This timepiece is dressed with a stunning round dial featuring a blue and black gradient that plunges you into the heart of the deep. At its center sit two Mercedes-style hands and a slender seconds hand. These time markers indicate hours, minutes, and seconds respectively. The brand plays with geometric shapes, using circles, triangles, and rectangles as hour indices. All these indicators are coated with a luminescent treatment for easy reading in low-light conditions. A date window at 3 o'clock completes the time display. A railroad minute track runs along the dial edge. OceanX also notes in writing that the model features a helium escape valve, useful during a diver's ascent to prevent pressure build-up and potential damage to the case. The brand's signature and model name appear below the 12 o'clock index, with water resistance noted at 6 o'clock.
The Movement
This diving watch is powered by a Japanese automatic movement. Reliable and built to last, the Miyota 8315 caliber drives the hours, minutes, and seconds hands. This mechanism also controls the date window. The movement delivers a power reserve of 60 hours.
The Strap
This SMS1012 model features a gray stainless steel bracelet that matches its case. Its sporty yet elegant look is enhanced by a polished and brushed finish. The three-row link design ensures comfortable everyday wear. For maximum security during water activities, the bracelet fastens with a silver deployment clasp. The lug width is 21 mm.
Water Resistance
With a water resistance of 100 atmospheres, equivalent to 1,000 meters, our watch specialists have just one thing left to say: enjoy your next aquatic adventure. Fully waterproof, this model keeps up with everything - shower, bath, swimming, freediving, or scuba diving. That said, to preserve the watch's water resistance, our watchmakers recommend avoiding operating the pushers or crown while underwater.
