The Dial

This clean-lined dial brings a touch of elegance to the timepiece. Set against a white background, it houses several elements for simple, reliable timekeeping. At its center, three silver hands work in unison - a slender seconds hand, a long minutes hand, and a short hours hand - sweeping across geometric hour markers and a minutes railroad track on the inner bezel ring. The track is paired with Arabic numerals in 24-hour format, indicating the time in a second time zone via a fourth hand in blue. Featuring a pointed triangle tip, this fourth hand is treated with Lumibrite luminescence - also applied to the other hands and indices for optimal low-light legibility. A date window with a cyclops lens sits at 3 o'clock for added functionality, while at 6 o'clock, the movement type, GMT function, and caliber reference are displayed. The dial is finished with the 5 Sports logo and the brand name just below 12 o'clock.

The Movement

This watch is powered by a reliable in-house automatic movement - specifically the Seiko caliber 4R34 - which drives all functions with precision. This Japanese mechanism is vibration-resistant and fitted with 24 jewels to minimize friction. It beats at a frequency of 21,600 vph and offers an accuracy of +45/-35 seconds per day, along with a 41-hour power reserve. It also features a stop-seconds function.
