The Watch

Founded in the 1960s, Le Jour is a Swiss watchmaking company offering modern timepieces crafted from high-quality materials with breathtaking finishes. Introducing the Roadster LJ-RD-003, inspired by the world of motorsport and rally racing. It features an elegant tonneau case with beautifully sculpted lines and curves, crafted in stainless steel with a refined silver tone and a harmonious brushed finish, accented by polished lug edges. The case measures 42 mm in diameter, 49 mm lug-to-lug, with a thickness of 15.50 mm including the caseback and crystal. The crystal is a flat sapphire glass that provides excellent scratch resistance and optimal dial visibility thanks to its anti-reflective coating. It is surrounded by a bezel in stainless steel with a black ion-plated and brushed finish. Fixed, it features a tachymeter scale with silver graduations. The crown and pushers are elegantly decorated with a knurled texture and polished finish. Located on the right side of the case, there are two pushers and a slightly oversized screw-down crown for setting the hands, date, and day. The caseback is also screw-down and features a transparent exhibition window offering a beautiful view of the movement. This caseback ensures a water resistance of 20 ATM.

The Dial

High quality, uniqueness, and precision in design and craftsmanship define this dial. Inspired by the world of motorsport, it is highlighted by red accents on the bezel and on the chronograph sub-registers. The blue background is elevated by a sunray effect that illuminates the brushed finish, creating an eye-catching aesthetic. The rehaut is carefully underscored by a detailed minute track that reinforces the sporty character of this dial. The hours are marked by double Arabic numerals and triangular indexes at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock - all treated with Swiss SuperLuminova Grade C3 for enhanced legibility in low-light conditions. The attention to detail continues on the sub-counters indicating 12 hours and 30 minutes. Positioned at 6 and 12 o'clock, they feature a black dial and a snailed finish with graduated rings, while the one at 9 o'clock indicates the small seconds and features a transparent circle. These sub-dials are complemented by two rectangular windows at 3 o'clock, displaying the day and date on a white background. Timekeeping is handled by two open-worked baton hands with brushed edges and luminescent fill. These are paired with the chronograph seconds hand featuring a red tip. Finally, the brand signs its name above the windows, with "Chronograph" and "Automatic" inscribed below.

The Movement

The functions of this model are powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement - specifically the SW500 caliber based on the ETA 7750, fitted with 25 jewels. Reliable and robust, it beats at 28,800 (4 Hz) vph and offers a power reserve of 56 to 62 hours. This movement delivers analog display, chronograph function, and precise day-date complication.

The Strap

This watch stands out with two interchangeable straps, offering effortless style versatility. Each one, measuring 22 mm wide at the lug, ensures optimal comfort.

The first is an elegant stainless steel bracelet composed of five rows of harmonious links. In a silver tone, it plays on a refined interplay of brushed and polished finishes, echoing the case. It is secured by a sturdy deployment clasp, combining safety and elegance.

The second strap, crafted in black Cordura® nylon, embodies refined durability. Its black tone, perfectly matched to the bezel, delivers a decidedly masculine look. Soft to the touch and lightweight on the wrist, it fastens with a steel pin buckle - practical, stylish, and built to last.
