The Watch
Timex draws inspiration from its iconic 1979 Q Timex diver's watch to create this thoroughly modern reissue. Powered by a quartz movement, the new Q Timex 2019 revives the vintage lines and signature details of the original. The barrel-shaped stainless steel case features a dual brushed and polished finish, measuring 38mm in diameter and 11.5mm thick - a size that works equally well on women's and men's wrists. A domed mineral crystal protects the dial from dust and unexpected impacts. A pepsi-style bi-directional rotating bezel in red and blue surrounds the crystal; its graduated markings echo the dive watch tradition of tracking elapsed immersion time. A crown at the traditional 3 o'clock position lets you set the dial's displays. Finally, the screw-down case back ensures water resistance to 5 ATM (50 meters).

The Dial
A round dial completes the Q Timex Reissue TW2T80700. Its deep blue color evokes the ocean floor. At the center, three hands keep the time: the hour and minute hands feature a luminescent coating so you can read the time day or night, while the slender red seconds hand adds a striking pop of color. Geometric luminescent indices mark the hours around the dial, complemented by a white minute track. A dual window at three o'clock, opposite the crown, displays the day and date. Timex places the collection name beneath the 12 o'clock index and notes the movement caliber at 6 o'clock.

The Movement
The stainless steel case houses a quartz movement. Japanese-made, this Seiko-manufactured movement - caliber PC33 - precisely drives the hour, minute, and second hands, as well as the day-date display.

The Strap
To complement the vintage aesthetic of this TW2T80700, it comes fitted with a stainless steel bracelet. Lightweight and flexible, it's a pleasure to wear every day. Its brushed and polished finish mirrors the case's design. The clasp is a snap-lock buckle in stainless steel, engraved with the watchmaker's name - easy to fasten with one hand. Lug width: 18mm.

Water Resistance
With a water resistance of 5 atmospheres (50 meters), this Q Timex TW2T80700 offers a solid introduction to water-resistant timekeeping. While not designed for bathing, lap swimming, or diving, you can safely forget to take it off in the shower.
