Seiko, the Japanese watchmaking house founded in 1881, crafts premium, exceptional-quality timepieces. The brand presents its new Prospex SPB249J1 watch. This model weighs 146 grams and features a stainless steel case with the following dimensions: 12.9 mm thick, 38 mm in diameter, and 46.2 mm in length - giving your wrist an impressive presence. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial. The case back is transparent and screwed down. Note that the crystal features an anti-reflective coating on its inner surface, ensuring easy time-reading even in direct sunlight. This Prospex SPB249J1 is powered by an automatic movement. Finally, the watch offers 20 ATM water resistance and a screw-down crown at 3 o'clock.
The dial features a striped design with varying shades of blue. At its center are 3 hands. The first is grey and marks the hours, the second is also grey and indicates the minutes, while the third - finished in gold - tracks the seconds. 12 indices, 8 baton-shaped and 4 triangular, are arranged around the dial. Both the hands and indices feature LumiBrite technology, meaning they are luminescent. A circle displays a minute track around the dial. The brand name appears at the top of the dial, while the water resistance rating and movement name are shown at the bottom. Finally, a date display is positioned on the right side of the dial.
This model runs on an automatic movement with a manual winding function. More specifically, it is powered by caliber 6R35.
Paired with the case is a stainless steel bracelet with a circumference of 195 mm, secured by a push-button deployment clasp.
This model offers a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. Ladies and gentlemen, here is a watch that can keep up with your deepest aquatic adventures - designed for freediving! Since water is no concern, you can also use high-pressure washers while wearing this timepiece without worry. Showering, bathing, competitive swimming, and freediving are all fine. However, for scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to protect the integrity of the mechanism.
