The Watch

Seiko is a Japanese manufacture that continuously pushes its own boundaries to bring you exceptional timepieces. Designed for men's wrists, it features a round case with a diameter of 39.50 mm and a thickness of 12 mm. The case is crafted in stainless steel with a polished finish that gives it an eye-catching brilliance. It features a grey, textured bezel bearing Arabic numerals alternating with triangular indices to help you read the time at a glance. A grey, grooved crown sits at 3 o'clock, providing easy handling and adjustment of the central elements. Those elements are protected by a domed Hardlex crystal. This watch weighs 129 g and is secured by a screw-down case back ensuring a water resistance of 5 ATM. The case back also features a transparent display letting you admire the oscillations of the movement.

The Dial

This stunning dial is meticulously crafted to give you a smooth and intuitive reading experience. Round in shape, it showcases a beautiful blue sunray finish that gives it a radiant, sun-kissed look. At its center, three grey hands ensure precise timekeeping - a slender seconds hand, a long minute hand, and a short hour hand working together to display seconds, minutes, and hours. The hour and minute hands feature a Lumibrite coating, also found on the surrounding square hour indices, ensuring excellent legibility in low-light conditions. Baton-style indices for the hours are arranged in a circle, following the minute track running along the outer edge. For added functionality, a date window is positioned at 4 o'clock. At the very bottom, around 6 o'clock, the dial displays the place of manufacture, the caliber type, the collection name, and the movement type. Finally, the brand's signature sits just below the 12 o'clock index.

The Movement

This watch is powered by an in-house automatic movement - the robust and reliable Seiko caliber 4R35, which drives the hands and date window with precision. This mechanism beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and features 23 jewels to minimize friction. It delivers a power reserve of 41 hours and operates with an accuracy of +45/-35 seconds per day.

You can keep it on in the shower, though the Ocarat team recommends setting it aside on the edge of the sink to preserve its brilliance and integrity over time. Swimming and scuba diving are strongly discouraged, as exposure could damage the watch and result in costly repairs.
