Hong Kong watchmaker Undone unveils a bold new piece inspired by the Popeye franchise - a one-of-a-kind watch guaranteed to bring back some of your favorite childhood memories.

The Timepiece

You almost certainly know him - Popeye needs no introduction. Discover today's new timepiece from Undone, the Popeye Blacksand COL-POP-PPS. As a nod to Popeye, the crown is not positioned at 3 o'clock but at 9 o'clock - because, as you may not have noticed, Popeye holds his can of spinach in his left hand! This edition therefore features a left-handed crown, an extremely rare feature in watchmaking. That said, this watch isn't just for lefties - right-handers who prefer the crown not pressing against their wrist will love it too. The case is crafted in stainless steel with a brushed finish, measuring 40 millimeters in diameter. On top sits a grooved black bezel marking minutes at fifteen-minute intervals. At the center of the case sits the star of the show: the dial. It is round and black, and what makes it truly unique are Popeye's arms serving as hands. To protect it from everything but spinach, Popeye is shielded by a highly resistant domed polycarbonate crystal. Finally, the Popeye The Sailorman Black COL-POP-PPS boasts a water resistance of 10 ATM, or 100 meters, ensured by its transparent screw-down caseback - giving you the freedom to take Popeye exploring the ocean depths right alongside you!

The Dial

At the heart of this round black dial, Popeye takes center stage. Throughout the day, his muscular and comical arms sweep across the dial to tell you the hours and minutes. The seconds are tracked by a seconds hand that stands out with its vivid red color. Next comes a unique index in the form of blocks and dots, a nod to the iconic and timeless Marine Nationale watches and their Snowflake dials. For optimal legibility day and night, this index features a luminescent coating and is complemented by a minute track. On the left side of the case, as mentioned, sits a crown. Positioned opposite its usual location, it allows you to set the time on your timepiece. Finally, over the dial sits a domed polycarbonate crystal that acts as a shield, keeping Popeye safe from bumps and unsightly scratches.

The Movement

At the heart of this case beats a self-winding mechanism that adapts to your every move! More specifically, it features an automatic movement of Japanese origin, by the renowned brand Seiko.

The Bracelet

To let you proudly wear Popeye and his big arms, a brushed silver stainless steel bracelet of Oyster type wraps comfortably around your wrist. Ruggedly masculine, it earns its rightful place on your wrist and fastens securely with its single folding clasp engraved with the brand name.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 100 meters - or 10 ATM in the language of watchmaking - this bold timepiece can hold its own at the grandest gala and in the water alike! Feel free to wear it in the shower, the bath, or during your swimming sessions (even the intense, energetic ones!).
