The Watch

Since 1918, Swiss watchmaker Mido - born in the Swiss Jura - has been crafting timepieces of exceptional quality and authentic expertise. Today, the brand proudly presents its chronograph model from the Ocean Star Chronograph collection. This phantom timepiece is designed to captivate men with its sporty, on-trend aesthetic. The case is crafted in stainless steel with a 44mm diameter and a 15.63mm thickness. A black ceramic bezel crowns the case, which also features a black DLC coating. At three o'clock, a Mido-signed winding crown lets you set the hands effortlessly, flanked by two pushers for operating the counters. A double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal shields the dial from everyday bumps and scratches. Finally, a screwed case back guarantees water resistance to 20 atmospheres.

The Dial

The round, black dial draws you straight into the ocean depths. It features three hands that display hours, minutes, and seconds - day or night - thanks to their luminescent treatment. Around the dial, a minute track ensures exceptional precision, complemented by geometric luminescent indices. For added timekeeping accuracy, a date window sits at the six o'clock position. Two sub-dials complete the layout at three and nine o'clock: a 30-minute counter and a 60-second counter. The brand signs its work just below twelve.

The Movement

Powering this case is a Swiss-made automatic movement. Mido itself manufactured this Caliber 60, based on the iconic ETA A05.H31 caliber. Hours, minutes, and seconds are displayed through this automatic mechanism, which offers a 60-hour power reserve.

"The Strap"

Two black straps are included with this diver. The first is made of rubber, the second of fabric. Both fasten with a black pin buckle that sits comfortably against the wrist. Their lug width is 22mm.

Water Resistance

This model delivers a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. A watch built for serious aquatic adventures - including freediving. It handles high-pressure washers with ease, so showers, baths, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. For scuba diving with tanks, however, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to protect the movement's integrity.
