Swiss company Mido was founded in 1918 by Georges Scheren. Long celebrated for its timeless watches with impressive complexity and a wealth of features, the brand today offers a collection of contemporary models for both men and women. It boasts breathtaking technical innovations, movements of proven reliability, and premium materials. Today, Mido is proud to introduce this M026.907.11.041.00 watch from the Ocean Star collection - a perfect companion for diving. It features a round, silver-toned case crafted in satin-finish stainless steel for a more refined look. With its beautiful silver tone, it has a diameter of 39 mm and a thickness of 10.50 mm, weighing 149 g. The case is topped by a notched bezel with a graduated scale from 0 to 60. Rotating, it features a black and blue insert along with a luminescent marker that glows in the dark. The flat sapphire crystal over the dial includes an anti-reflective coating for easy reading. At 3 o'clock, a notched crown lets you set the time and date at your convenience. Finally, the case back ensures water resistance up to 20 ATM, or 200 meters deep.
This bi-color matte dial adds to the beauty of this watch. It features black and blue hues with a wave motif reminiscent of the ocean. At its center, two silver hands display the hours and minutes, while a slim seconds hand tracks the seconds. They sweep over a perimeter lined by a railroad track showing the minutes, along with round and triangular indices marking the hours. In addition, a date window sits at 3 o'clock. Finally, just above the 6 o'clock index, you'll find the collection name, while the brand name appears near 12 o'clock.
This timepiece is powered by a Swiss automatic movement. Specifically, the Mido 72.111 caliber, based on the ETA A31.111, ensures the reliability of the analog display and the date. It features 21 jewels and a Nivachron hairspring offering excellent resistance to magnetic fields. This movement delivers a power reserve of 72 hours and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph.
This silver-toned bracelet is crafted in stainless steel for enhanced durability. It is made up of three rows of sturdy links with a satin finish. This model brings a polished edge to any style. Note that it has a lug width of 20 mm and is secured with a deployant buckle.
This model offers a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a watch built to keep up with your deep-water activities! Designed for freediving, it handles high-pressure situations with ease - you can even use a pressure washer while wearing it without a worry. Shower, bath, sport swimming, and freediving are all covered. That said, for scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown while submerged to protect the integrity of the movement.
