"Time takes time" is the motto of the iconic Union Glashütte. Founded in 1893 by watchmaker Johannes Dürrstein, this German manufacture has never stopped captivating watch enthusiasts with its dazzling, high-quality creations. A true symbol of fine German watchmaking, it continues to showcase the full depth of its expertise by partnering with skilled master watchmakers who handcraft each timepiece with meticulous attention to every detail - seamlessly blending timeless aesthetics, refined technical mastery, and on-trend design. From its Noramis collection, the brand presents this stunning Chronograph Sport Watch D012.927.18.057.00, sure to be your new favorite on the wrist. With an all-black-and-grey look, it pairs effortlessly with any outfit - from sharp to casual - and is built to be a reliable companion on every adventure, whether in the city or underwater. It's a modern urban take on the elegance of the '50s and '60s, combining timeless style with contemporary quality to meet the high standards of today's men. The round case measures 43 mm in diameter and 15.80 mm in thickness - proportions perfectly sized for a comfortable all-day wear on men's wrists. Weighing 136 g, it is crafted in 316L stainless steel with a polished finish on the surface and brushed edges for a striking result. The dial is shielded from everyday shocks and scratches by a sapphire crystal with a domed shape and double anti-reflective coating, ensuring excellent legibility from every angle while giving the watch a more timeless look. It is surrounded by a rotating bezel with a notched design for tracking elapsed time, featuring minute graduations and a luminescent triangular marker on its black ceramic insert. At 10 o'clock, the case houses a quick-set date corrector; at 3 o'clock, a screwed crown for manual time-setting and hand winding. Two push buttons let you operate the chronograph. A transparent exhibition case back reveals the mesmerizing movement inside. The screw-down case back ensures water resistance of 20 bar.
The case reveals a clean anthracite-colored dial in a round shape that brings a breath of freshness and elegance to the watch. Its smoked background is enhanced by brushed lines that give it a deeper, more timeless quality. The dial allows for clear, fluid time-reading even in low-light conditions, thanks to its luminescent markers. It features two pointed baton hands and a fine hand with a triangular tip. The first two indicate hours and minutes with great precision - including in the dark - while the third tracks chronograph seconds. This hand is accompanied by a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock. On the opposite side, a second sub-dial is dedicated to the small seconds. It integrates a rectangular aperture revealing a white background with black Arabic numerals - a date window for easy reading. Marked "Made in Germany", the outer ring features a minute track rendered in fine lines and white triangles, divided every 5 minutes by silver indexes for quick hour reference. These are coated with a luminescent finish for flawless nighttime legibility. 12 o'clock is marked by an Arabic numeral, while triangles denote the remaining hours. Finally, Union Glashütte places its name below 12 o'clock as a signature, and notes at 6 o'clock the collection name along with "Chronograph" and the watch's water resistance rating.
This timepiece is powered by the in-house caliber UNG-27.S2, developed by the watchmakers at Union Glashütte. Reliable and high-performing in all conditions, this automatic movement with 29 jewels is antimagnetic thanks to its silicon hairspring, which also provides outstanding shock resistance and resistance to temperature variations. It drives the hands, date window, and counters with fluid precision for accurate display of hours, minutes, seconds, date, and all chronograph functions. Delivering a power reserve of 65 hours, this movement features a stop-seconds mechanism and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
With a lug width of 21 mm, the strap on this model is crafted from black woven textile, giving the whole piece a more modern edge. Blending flexibility with durability, it's the refined finishing touch that elevates any look - from sporty to formal - lending you a distinguished, elegant style. It contours naturally to your wrist for effortless all-day comfort. The double deployant clasp makes it easy to secure and release. Crafted in 316L stainless steel with two push buttons, it keeps the watch firmly in place throughout the day.
With water resistance to 200 meters - or 20 ATM in the elegant language of watchmaking - this watch is built for recreational diving. It can handle showers, baths, swimming in the sea or pool, and shallow, non-professional dives (free diving). For professional scuba diving with tanks, our Ocarat watch team has selected 30 ATM models available in our catalog via an additional search on our site. One final word of advice: do not operate the push buttons or crown while in the water!
