Herbelin has endured for over 70 years through bold innovation, daring design choices, and an uncompromising commitment to quality - all while honoring a deep-rooted watchmaking heritage and the broader legacy of France. A testament to this: the brand continues to design, hand-assemble, and quality-check every piece in its workshops in Franche-Comté, the historic heartland of French watchmaking. Ever pushing forward, the house is proud to introduce its latest creation - a marriage of striking design and cutting-edge engineering: the Newport Chronograph Carbon Titanium Automatic 288CTN14CA. Produced as a limited edition of just 500 pieces worldwide, this is your chance to own something truly exclusive. Its 46.50mm case and 16.30mm thickness make it a bold statement piece built for men. The materials are just as extraordinary: forged carbon - a next-generation industrial component unlike any other. Unlike traditional woven carbon fiber, it is crafted from carbon fragments mixed with resin, dramatically enhancing the watch's durability. True to its raw, one-of-a-kind nature, the bezel exposes the forged carbon in its natural state, held in place by 5 hexagonal screws - a nod to the portholes found on sailboats. The word "Newport" is engraved at 6 o'clock. A flat scratch-resistant sapphire crystal sits elegantly over the case. At 2 o'clock, the pusher starts and stops the chronograph** function. At **4 o'clock, the second pusher **resets** it. The **winding crown** is positioned at **3 o'clock** for setting the **time**, **date**, and **day**. Both **pushers** and the **crown** are **screwed down** to protect against water infiltration. Flip the watch over and you'll discover a stunning caseback crafted entirely in titanium with DLC coating (Diamond Like Carbon) for superior resilience - along with a transparent exhibition window to admire the movement within.
The dial of this watch is a design statement unlike any other! The striations etched across its surface represent the seabed of Saint-Malo - the starting city of the Route du Rhum race. Running along the outer edge, Herbelin has engraved a 60-second graduated scale for ultra-precise timekeeping. The inscription "Regate Timer" appears between 0 and 10 seconds, anchoring the watch in the world of sailing. Every 5-second interval is highlighted with a fluorescent green border for a genuine sporty edge. The hour markers are black and trapezoidal, each topped with a touch of white luminescent material. The sword-shaped hands for hours and minutes are equally black, with luminescent material at their center for maximum visibility - even at night. Also at the center, the chronograph seconds hand glows in fluorescent yellow, striking against the dark dial. The sub-counter at 12 o'clock embodies the regatta spirit: graduated to reflect the key countdown stages at the start of a race, with the crucial final five minutes clearly marked. The GPS coordinates shown are those of Saint-Malo, the Route du Rhum's starting city. Its counterpart at 6 o'clock tracks up to 12 consecutive hours, bearing the GPS coordinates of Guadeloupe - the race's finish line. A day-date window is set at 3 o'clock. The brand signs its work at 9 o'clock and proudly displays French manufacture at 6 o'clock.
This exceptional timepiece houses a movement as innovative as the materials surrounding it. Inside, you'll find a Swiss-made Sellita SW501 BV automatic movement, specially developed for Herbelin. It delivers a central 60-second chronograph, a "regatta" sub-counter of 30 minutes at 12 o'clock, and a 12-hour sub-counter at 6 o'clock. Power reserve stands at 48 hours. The movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), giving the seconds hand an exceptionally smooth sweep. It also features a stop-seconds mechanism for precise setting and a quick-set date adjustment.
Because the strap matters just as much as the watch itself, the French manufacture chose to craft it in FKM elastomer in fluorescent yellow. FKM is one of the most resilient elastomers available, standing up to extreme temperatures and chemical exposure. It also offers excellent resistance to UV rays, oils, and fuels - making this strap built to last through anything. The clasp is equally well-engineered: a deployant buckle in titanium with a DLC treatment, combining long-lasting comfort and durability.
With water resistance of 30 atmospheres (300 meters), our entire team of watch specialists can confidently send you off on your next aquatic adventure. Fully waterproof, this model goes wherever you go - shower, bath, swimming, freediving, scuba diving, all welcome. That said, to preserve the watch's water-tight integrity, our watchmakers recommend keeping the pushers and crown untouched while submerged.
