The Watch
The Multifort line launched in 1934 - Mido's most iconic collection and a defining moment in the brand's history. It showcased the house's technology and expertise, setting it apart from the competition, and was among the first antimagnetic watches to feature an automatic movement.
This Mido model features a stainless steel case with a black PVD treatment that accentuates the dial's clean lines. It measures 42 mm in diameter and 11.20 mm thick, paired with a premium sapphire crystal for optimal dial protection. Water resistance is rated at 10 atmospheres.
The Dial
Black with brown accents, this dial delivers both excellent legibility and a distinctive design. It features a Côtes de Genève pattern - parallel vertical stripes set side by side, lending the watch a sophisticated, linear aesthetic. The hour markers are varied: Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, and round indexes at all other hours. All markers share the same style - a black border with a brown interior - echoed in the hour and minute hands, which are also black-edged with brown interiors. The seconds hand is lighter, matching the color of the scale on the bezel: a brown with pale yellow undertones. This same hue appears on the minute track. The date window sits at 4:30 on a black background. Inscriptions include the brand name and movement name at 12 o'clock and the collection name at 6 o'clock.
The Movement
At the heart of this watch beats a Mido movement that powers the analog display of hours, minutes, and seconds, along with a date window. The chosen caliber is the Mido 80.611, offering a power reserve of approximately 80 hours.
The Strap
This strap is crafted from brown leather sourced from farm-raised animals. It is made from calfskin supplied exclusively by recognized and monitored breeders. It fastens with a butterfly deployment clasp with black PVD treatment to match the case. The lug width is 22 mm.
Water Resistance
This model offers a water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. We're talking about a genuinely water-resistant watch! Ready to join you in any aquatic adventure, it handles everything from puddles to the pool without complaint - shower, bath, and lap swimming are all no problem. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want you to know that while this model is water-resistant, it is not designed for diving (professional or recreational) and is sensitive to high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend against operating the crown or pushers while submerged.
