The Watch

Casio is a Japanese brand that has carved out a premier place in the world of watchmaking. Renowned for its electronic devices, it has established itself as a benchmark through its rugged timepieces. Its case offers a more comfortable fit and a tough exterior with a protective structure featuring metal components, delivering exceptional durability and high resistance. The modern design draws inspiration from off-road vehicles and survival gear. For this watch, Casio engineered a new structure combining components made from different materials: stainless steel for the bezel and carbon fiber reinforced resin for the case and the guards of the 4 push buttons on the left and right sides. These are protected by cylindrical stainless steel pieces, and the button stems are fitted with sealing gaskets. A DLC coating is applied to the surface of the materials to further enhance abrasion resistance. Additionally, the sides and underside of the module incorporate αGEL to ensure vibration resistance. The case measures 52.10 mm in diameter and 16.20 mm in thickness, with a lug-to-lug length of 58.70 mm and a weight of 114 grams. The crown at 3 o'clock is protected and secured against accidental mode changes, fitted with a screw-lock system to prevent contamination by mud and dust. The dial is protected from shocks and scratches by a flat sapphire crystal. The whole is sealed by a snap-back and brushed caseback offering water resistance to 20 ATM.

The Dial

The dial of this watch is engineered for professionals operating in the most demanding environments. In dark gray with a textured finish, it combines analog and digital displays while clearly presenting all available functions. It features oversized hour markers in gray, except at 6 and 12 o'clock where bold Arabic numerals are rendered in yellow. These markers are encircled by a black inner bezel underscored by a minute track completed with bold luminescent bars and Arabic numerals at every 5-minute interval. At 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, the 4 cardinal points are marked with the letters E, S, W, and N. Timekeeping is handled by two oversized hands coated with a luminescent treatment - the short hand for hours, the long hand for minutes - accompanied by a slim white seconds hand with a black counterweight. The dial features two compass indicators with automatic horizontal correction, an altimeter, a barometer, and a thermometer, all positioned at 9 o'clock. The seconds hand indicates north, while the hand in the subdial at 3 o'clock indicates the recorded bearing direction and the direction toward a location specified in the app (location indicator) - making it easy to track the direction to a destination. At 6 o'clock, a digital subdial displays the date and day alongside other useful complications. For near-zero visibility day or night, the dual LED lighting proves invaluable. The brand completes the design with "Mudmaster" in red, "Casio" and "Tough MVT" at 12 o'clock, along with "G-Shock" above the digital display.

Altimeter Memory

The watch features a memory that can store up to 40 altitude data records, depending on the model, which can be accessed at any time. Each data record includes the measured altitude along with the date and time of the recording. In addition to the measured altitude, the altimeter also logs the maximum and minimum altitude of a measurement.

Sunrise/Sunset Indicator

Once your local data - such as date, time, and location - has been entered, sunrise and sunset times can be displayed for any other date.

Activity Log

Once the activity log function is activated, route and altitude profiles are stored in your smartphone and can be viewed on a map. They are also automatically saved to a tracking log.

Location Indicator

The location indicator displays the direction and distance to a previously saved location. This feature comes in handy when you're lost and need to find your way back to a cabin, a lake, or your car.

World Time Function

The World Time function displays local time across 29 different time zones.

1/100 sec Stopwatch - 24 Hours

Measures elapsed time with 1/100th-of-a-second precision for up to 24 hours. An audible signal confirms when the stopwatch starts and stops.

Countdown Timer - 1/1 sec - 1 Hour

Built for precision-focused users: countdown timers alert you to important or recurring events with an audible signal at your preset date and time. Set in seconds, up to 1 hour in advance - an especially handy feature for daily medication reminders or repeated training sessions.

5 Daily Alarms

A daily audible alarm reminds you of your commitments at your preset time. This model offers five independent alarms so you can stay on top of all your important appointments with total flexibility.

Automatic Hand Correction

The automatic hand correction checks the base position of the hands every hour and corrects them if needed - whether due to misalignment from an impact or magnetic interference.

Button Beep On/Off

The button beep can be turned off using the mode button. Once disabled, no beep sounds when switching between functions. However, any programmed alarms or countdown timers remain active after the button beep is turned off.

Hand Shift Function

This function moves the hands when they obstruct the visibility of the time, date, or stopwatch display.

Smart Access Technology

The Movement

This model delivers water resistance to 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. This is a watch that can keep up with your deep-water activities - it's built for freediving! Completely water-safe, you can also use high-pressure washers with this timepiece on your wrist without a second thought. Showering, bathing, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. However, for scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or push buttons while submerged to preserve the integrity of the mechanism.
