The Watch

Bayard is a French watchmaking brand offering a wide selection of timepieces with classic, timeless, and elegant designs. Among its creations are pocket watches, including this TP22.2 model. A true classic, it features a round case crafted in silver-tone brass with a polished finish. The case is fitted with an acrylic crystal covering the dial and measures 50 mm in diameter by 19.10 mm thick. It has two snap covers protecting the dial and the see-through caseback. Both display a beautiful engine-turned finish that adds a touch of sophistication to the watch. At 12 o'clock, a crown surrounded by a ring handles the adjustment of hours and minutes.

The Dial

This model features an elegant vintage-style white dial. Round in shape, it displays hour markers in black Roman numerals that enhance its classic character. It includes a central skeleton opening offering a pleasing view of the movement. The dial's perimeter is framed by a block-style minute track complemented by Arabic numerals marking military hours. Hours, minutes, and seconds are indicated by two pear-shaped hands and a slender black seconds hand. The look is completed by the brand's signature above the 6 o'clock position.

The Movement

This pocket watch is powered by a mechanical movement renowned for its quality and precision. It offers a 36-hour power reserve and runs at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations/hour. It features 17 jewels and delivers reliable analog timekeeping.

Water Resistance

Not water-resistant, this watch is not designed for aquatic environments. You can keep it on while washing your hands or doing light household tasks involving a splash of water, but the Ocarat team strongly recommends leaving it on your nightstand before stepping into the shower or bath - or locking it in the hotel safe before diving into the pool or the crystal-clear sea at your vacation destination.
