The Watch

Erhard Junghans founded his watchmaking manufacture in 1861, and it quickly grew to become the largest in the world. The first Junghans wall clocks were born in the Lauterbach valley, followed by the brand's various watch collections. To this day, Junghans remains a leading force in watchmaking, driven by its craftsmanship and rigorous quality control. The Max Bill Kleine Automatic collection features watches with a white dial and colorful strap in a spirit of pure simplicity. The 27/7108.02 model boasts a case in yellow gold-toned PVD-coated stainless steel. The gold-toned crown at three o'clock lets you set the time manually. A convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides protects the dial from every angle. On the caseback, you'll find a screwed caseback and a water resistance of 3 bar for this timepiece.

The Dial

With its minimalist aesthetic, this dial features a white base. Small black Arabic numerals count in increments of five up to sixty. Each numeral is paired with a "baton" index, forming a minute track. Several dots mark the main hours and glow at night thanks to a luminescent coating. Closer to the center, bold black Arabic numerals indicate the hours. At three o'clock, a date window takes the place of the numeral. The gold tone of the three hands echoes the case color. The two larger hands are luminescent while the seconds hand is more slender. Junghans places its signature in black on this understated, elegant dial.

The Movement

The automatic self-winding movement inside this case is of Swiss origin. The J800.1 caliber features 25 jewels, a Nivaro hairspring, and an anti-shock and anti-magnetic system. Its oscillation frequency is 28,800 vph and its power reserve reaches 38 hours.

The Strap

The strap paired with this case is in genuine leather. In a taupe tone, it beautifully offsets the clean white dial. A gold PVD pin buckle lets you adjust and secure the strap on your wrist. The plain strap is classic in cut, with a more distinctive color choice.

Water Resistance

This watch offers a water resistance of 3 atmospheres, or 30m. Designed for style, not for the water - it shines at social events and soirées, but aquatic environments are not its strong suit! It handles rain, splashes, and dishwater just fine, but that's where it stops. We strongly advise against wearing it in the shower or bath, and even more so for swimming or diving!
