The Watch

Founded in 1867, LIP is a brand deeply rooted in French watchmaking. Known for its innovations, exclusive creations, and elegantly sophisticated designs, the brand developed its Courage collection in partnership with the French National Federation of Firefighters (FNSPF) as a decision-support tool for all emergency responders. Represented here as model 671708, it features a round case with a 40 mm diameter, crafted in stainless steel with a radiant polished finish that catches the light with beautiful silver tones. A domed sapphire crystal on the crystal face protects the dial against scratches, while the crown and two push-buttons on the right side control the hours, minutes, date, and the cardiac and respiratory scales. The screwed case back ensures a water resistance of 10 ATM.

The Dial

This watch boasts an elegant, sophisticated, and highly legible dial. Its silver-white base contrasts beautifully with the various reading elements. The outer edge features a graduated and numbered track split in two: the right side, in red, displays a cardiac scale, while the left side, in blue, represents a respiratory scale. These are indicated by a dual hand - one tip red, one blue - allowing rapid monitoring of vital signs. The hours are marked by applied silver markers: faceted triangular indexes at 1, 5, 7, and 11 o'clock, and Arabic numerals for the rest. The 3 and 9 o'clock positions are replaced by "Pulsation" and "Respiration" respectively, while 6 o'clock features a date window. Everything is indicated by two dauphine hands filled with luminescence for easy reading in low-light conditions. The brand name is signed below 12 o'clock, the collection name appears above the date window, and "Besançon France" is inscribed below it.

The Movement

This model is powered by a reliable and precise Japanese-made quartz movement - specifically the Miyota OS21 caliber, with an accuracy of ± 20 seconds per month. It runs on a battery with an estimated life of approximately 5 years, reliably driving all central functions.

The Strap

This watch is fitted with an elegant bracelet that perfectly complements the case design. Crafted in stainless steel with 5 rows of brushed links, it offers a comfortable fit with a lug width of 20 mm and fastens with a deployment clasp with a safety lock.

Water Resistance

This model delivers a water resistance of 10 atmospheres, equivalent to 100 meters - making it a genuinely water-ready timepiece. From puddles to the pool, this watch handles it all without complaint. Shower, bath, and recreational swimming? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watch experts want to be clear: while this model is water-resistant, it is not suitable for diving (recreational or professional) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment.
