The Brand

HUMISM is an independent design studio based in Singapore with a vision: to turn time into an artistic experience. Its Kinetic Art watches bring motion, watchmaking and design together, making the passage of time something to watch. Each creation takes nearly a year to design, prototype and test. In 2018, the brand launched its first project on Kickstarter, exceeded its goal in just 30 minutes, and went on to raise 13 times its initial funding target. Today, HUMISM is present in more than 60 countries and donates 2% of its sales to charities.

The Watch

The Humism Dasein 39 mm watch is more than a way to tell time. Its 316L stainless steel case is valued for strength and corrosion resistance. The round case, measuring 39 mm in diameter, gives it balanced proportions that suit most wrists. At 11,90 mm thick, it has a noticeable presence without sacrificing comfort. Finished in matte tones, the case mixes brushed and satin textures for a sophisticated, contemporary look. A sapphire crystal, known for its exceptional scratch resistance, protects the dial from everyday wear. The case back is screw-secured, helping provide water resistance up to 5 ATM. Its transparent back also reveals the movement within, a subtle tribute to watchmaking.

The Dial

This watch's dial catches the eye with a bold design built around rotating discs. They offer an inventive way to display the time and create a dynamic visual effect that changes as they turn. Contrasting white, gray and black make the hours and minutes easy to read while preserving the clean, artistic look. Circular hour markers depart from convention and add a contemporary touch. Every detail balances visual appeal with function, while the sapphire crystal's anti-reflective coating provides a clear view from different angles.

The Movement

A Japanese automatic movement powers this watch. The Seiko Corp. NH35A caliber is known for reliability and precision, keeping time consistently and accurately. Its high oscillation frequency and rotor help keep it running smoothly without a battery. Focused on the essentials, the hours and minutes, this movement lets the beauty of time take center stage.

The Strap

Designed to complement the case, the cowhide leather strap adds a touch of timeless luxury. Its black color and grained texture make it both sturdy and elegant. Visible stitching emphasizes its quality and classic character. A pin buckle offers a traditional fastening and a comfortable fit.

Water Resistance

With 5 ATM water resistance, this watch can handle splashes and brief exposure to water, such as when washing your hands or being caught in the rain. It is not intended for swimming or diving.
