Produced in collaboration with Hemingway Limited, this limited edition of 882 pieces celebrates the achievements of this literary genius through a clean design inspired by the laid-back Cuban lifestyle - where Hemingway spent over 20 years. It brings a touch of sophisticated elegance to your look, setting you apart on every occasion. Its round case is crafted in stainless steel with a finely executed polished finish that gives it a striking, brilliant effect. Comfortable to wear, it measures 40 mm in diameter and 11.75 mm in thickness, with elongated lugs that add character to the overall design. The dial is protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal that shields it from everyday shocks and scratches. An anti-reflective coating ensures a sharp, clear time reading from any angle. Engraved with the brand's initials, the screwed crown at 3 o'clock assists with hand setting. On the caseback, the Hemingway logo is engraved and the case is secured by four screws, ensuring water resistance to 100 meters.

The Dial

"To write about life, first you must live it" - with this Hemingway quote displayed in English at 12 o'clock and in Spanish at 6 o'clock, the round dial of this watch exudes authenticity, originality, and distinction. It features a cream beige color that lends the whole piece a soft, elegant feel while keeping the time display clear and easy to read. Two gray hands coated with Super-Luminova sweep the dial, pointing to hours and minutes even in low-light conditions. A slender blue seconds hand with a round counterweight completes the trio. All three track a minute railroad marked by black indices and red Arabic numerals every 5 minutes. The hours are indicated by the applied "CyS" brand logo at noon and by Super-Luminova Arabic numeral indices for the rest. The outer ring is graduated with blue Arabic numerals pointed to by a gray hand with a blue fishtail counterweight indicating the date. Stamped "Swiss Made", the dial is signed with the brand name below noon and with "Ernest Hemingway" at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

Inside the case beats the in-house CYS 8121 caliber, a high-quality automatic movement that delivers reliable, precise performance in any condition, ensuring smooth and accurate hand motion. Featuring an engraved rotor, this movement is crafted in Switzerland on the Sellita 221-1 base and fitted with 26 jewels. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a 38-hour power reserve. Hours, minutes, seconds, and date - all displayed with precision and reliability, whatever the circumstances.

The Strap

This limited edition is elevated by a Volonato leather strap that adds a retro vintage touch. Dressed in a beautiful light brown that pairs effortlessly with any outfit, it features orange contrast stitching for an extra dash of understated charm. Comfortable enough for everyday wear, it closes with an interchangeable stainless steel deployant clasp that lets you put it on and take it off smoothly - no risk of losing it.

Water Resistance

This model offers a water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. We're talking about a truly waterproof timepiece! This charming design is ready to dive right into aquatic adventures with you. From puddles to the pool, this watch handles swimming without complaint - showers, baths, and lap sessions are all well within its comfort zone. That said, Ocarat's watchmaking experts want you to know that, while water-resistant, this model is not designed for diving (professional or otherwise) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend avoiding use of the crown or push buttons while submerged.
