The Watch
This men's watch named Himalaya was born from the friendship between Maurice Herzog - the French mountaineer who became the first person to summit Annapurna, a peak over 8,000 meters in the Himalayas, in 1950 - and Fred Lip. Signed by French watchmaker Lip, this new version of the iconic timepiece features a skeleton dial with a distinctly retro-vintage, masculine spirit, housed in a 40 mm satin-finished stainless steel case. The case is topped with a sapphire crystal and fitted with a winding crown at 3 o'clock.

The Dial
The skeleton dial is round in shape. It beautifully showcases the inner workings of the automatic movement and features a silver ring adorned with applied raised gold-colored indexes and Arabic numerals (3, 6, and 9). The three hour and minute hands are also gold-toned and polished. Only the minute track is black. The Lip logo appears at 12 o'clock, while the inscriptions "Besançon" and "France" are positioned at 6 o'clock.

The Movement
This watch houses a Miyota 8N24 Japanese automatic movement with a 40-hour power reserve. This caliber displays hours, minutes, and seconds.

The Strap
This timepiece comes with a brown leather strap featuring beige stitching. This interchangeable strap fastens with a silver-tone pin buckle.

Water Resistance
With a water resistance of 5 atmospheres (50 meters), this watch offers an entry-level introduction to water resistance. While not designed for bathing, swimming, or diving, you can safely wear it in the shower without worry. That said, our experts recommend keeping this timepiece dry to preserve its movement for years to come.
