To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Japan's legendary "Kaijū" creature, Citizen launches the Godzilla Promaster Marine BJ8059-03Z watch in collaboration with Godzilla - offered as a limited edition of just 3,000 pieces and nicknamed "Ecozilla" by fans who blended Eco-Drive and Godzilla. Built tough and high-performing, this dive watch features a resistant round case crafted in stainless steel with a Gun ion plating finish that gives it a gray tone enhanced by a camouflage pattern inspired by the monster's skin. The case measures 50.30 mm in diameter, weighs 194 g, and has a thickness of 18.50 mm including the domed mineral crystal, giving it an imposing presence. That crystal is framed by a knurled, unidirectional bezel adorned with large notches reminiscent of Godzilla's claws. It features a minute track with bold Arabic numerals and a luminescent marker. Every detail references the iconic creature - even the crown positioned at 9 o'clock. It is screwed down and protected, with a knurled texture for a secure grip when setting the hands and date. The collaboration extends to the caseback, which bears the imprint of Godzilla's claw, adding a truly special touch. The screwed caseback is secured by screws and guarantees water resistance to 30 ATM.

The Dial

The spirit of the legendary beast carries through to the dial, which makes a powerful visual statement. It wears a deep red color representing Godzilla "roaring with rage" and displays a camouflage pattern evoking the monster's scaly skin. The dial features an inner flange with a minute track flanked by white rectangular indices. These encircle the large geometric hour markers, which are easy to read and highly legible thanks to their luminescent coating - a treatment shared by the oversized hands. The minute hand is orange, while the hour hand is black, as is the seconds hand with its arrow-tipped point. The dial is completed by a date window at 3 o'clock for everyday convenience. The brand name and movement are displayed proudly at 12 o'clock, while the water resistance and collection name sit just above 6 o'clock.

The Movement

Powered by an Eco-Drive movement - specifically the caliber B873-00M - this model delivers up to 6 months of power reserve. It recharges from any light source with no battery replacement needed. Precise and reliable, it offers analog three-hand display with a date function and runs to an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. It also features magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m.

The Strap

Flexible and comfortable, the strap on this watch is made from durable black polyurethane crafted from eco-friendly biomass-derived materials. Built to last, it measures 32 mm at the lug width and 20 mm at the tang buckle. Designed for diving, it features a perforated design with rippled texture that gives it a rugged edge.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 30 atmospheres - equivalent to 300 meters - our watch specialists have one thing left to say: dive in. Fully waterproof, this model is ready for anything: shower, bath, swimming, freediving, or scuba diving. To maintain long-term water resistance, our watchmakers recommend keeping the pusher and crown untouched while underwater.
