Now, Citizen launches a new Ecozilla edition created in collaboration with Godzilla: the Godzilla Promaster Marine BJ8056-01E. Inspired by Japanese legend and cinema, this release celebrates Godzilla's 70th anniversary in 2024. A professional dive watch offered as a limited edition of 2,500 pieces, it delivers high performance wrapped in an iconic design. It comes housed in a bold round case crafted from stainless steel in gray, achieved through ion gun plating and elevated by a camouflage pattern inspired by the beast's scaly skin. Commanding in presence, it measures 50.30 mm in diameter and 18.50 mm in thickness, weighing in at 194 g. A proud textured bezel amplifies the model's striking look. Unidirectional, it's engraved with a minute track alongside large Arabic numerals and a luminescent marker. The bezel frames a domed mineral crystal offering a clear view of the dial. The screw-down crown, protected and positioned at 9 o'clock, features a handsome knurled grip for easy adjustment of the hours, minutes, and date. For an extra signature touch, the case back bears an embossed Godzilla claw print as a nod to the theme. This screw-down case back is secured with screws, delivering outstanding water resistance to 300 m / 30 ATM.

The Dial

Beautifully crafted, the dial features a design built for easy timekeeping. Oversized components make reading at a glance effortless, while a black camouflage finish draws direct inspiration from the skin of this iconic Japanese kaijū creature. The hands display hours and minutes filled with luminescence, ensuring excellent readability in low-light conditions. They're paired with a slim black seconds hand tipped with a luminescent arrow point for added legibility. The hour markers feature oversized geometric shapes and are equally luminescent. The whole is framed by a rehaut bearing a minute track and rectangular white indices. A date window at 3 o'clock adds a touch of charm and everyday practicality. The brand signs its name below 12 o'clock and notes the water resistance and collection name below 6 o'clock. A flawlessly executed design.

The Movement

This model is powered by a high-performance Eco-Drive movement that recharges from any light source - no battery replacement needed. Running on caliber B873-00M, it delivers an impressive power reserve of 6 months, one of the standout strengths of this timepiece. With an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month, it drives a precise three-hand analog display with a date function. It also features magnetic resistance up to 4,800 A/m.

The Strap

The watch features an eco-conscious strap crafted from durable black polyurethane, made with biomass-derived materials. It showcases bold ridged texturing and a perforated look, while its black color ties seamlessly into the case's aesthetic. The strap measures 32 mm at the lug end, tapering to 20 mm at the pin buckle, delivering a secure and comfortable fit.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance to 30 atmospheres, or 300 meters. Whether you're splashing around with the kids in the pool or tackling serious professional diving, this watch has you covered.
