The Watch

A fixture of the Japanese industry for decades, Casio continues to push boundaries with an ever-growing lineup of watches and calculators designed to simplify everyday life. With its striking, durable design, the brand introduces its latest G-Squad collection through the GBD-H2000-1AER watch. Bold and refined, it features a round resin case fitted with five pushers for navigating its many functions. The dial surface is protected by mineral glass set beneath a bezel secured by four screws. This timepiece also boasts a water resistance of 20 ATM, ensured by a screw-lock caseback.

The Dial

With its bold, eye-catching design, this dial effortlessly displays all the functions this watch has to offer. Digital in nature, it features a bezel starting with the brand name, followed by various gray and orange indicators around the edge. At 12 o'clock, the Bluetooth icon, the message icon, and the step counter icon are displayed. Below these, the days of the week appear as a segmented bar highlighting the current day. Next, the 12-hour time format is indicated by the letter P in gray, followed by hours, minutes, and seconds in Arabic numerals. The current date and month are followed by the day, the barometer, the Snooze function, and the alarm. Finally, the dial closes with the battery indicator positioned near 6 o'clock, all set against a stunning black background.

Functions

Bluetooth® Smart

The watch is equipped with energy-efficient Bluetooth® technology for one-touch data exchange. The Bluetooth® function wirelessly connects the watch to a smartphone, unlocking a wide range of convenient features.

Smartphone time

When the watch is paired with a smartphone, the time is set automatically.

Full Auto LED Lighting

In low-light conditions, tilting your wrist automatically activates an LED to illuminate the dial.

Heart Rate Monitor

Heart rate is measured via a chest strap. The data is transmitted to the watch and displayed in bpm (beats per minute).

Calories burned calculation (CAL)

This function calculates calories burned and saves the result for later review.

Target Heart Rate Alarm

An alarm sounds as soon as a preset heart rate range is reached.

Optical Heart Rate Measurement

An optical sensor on the back of the watch uses LEDs to measure heart rate at the wrist. The readings are displayed on the watch.

Barometer (260 / 1,100 hPa)

A dedicated sensor measures atmospheric pressure (range: 260 / 1,100 hPa) and displays it on screen as a symbol, giving you timely weather forecast insights.

Thermometer (-10°C / +60°C)

A sensor measures the ambient temperature and displays it in degrees Celsius (-10°C / +60°C).

Compass

A built-in directional sensor detects magnetic north.

Altimeter 10,000 m

A pressure sensor detects changes in atmospheric pressure and converts the result into an altitude reading, up to 10,000 m.

Altitude Total Ascent

The Total Ascent function adds up every meter of elevation gained during your climb, giving you an at-a-glance view of the total vertical gain achieved on your hike.

Altimeter Memory

The watch features a memory that can store up to 40 altitude data logs - depending on the model - available for review at any time. Each data block includes the measured altitude along with the date and time of the recording. In addition to the measured altitude, the altimeter also records the maximum and minimum altitude for each measurement.

Accelerometer

The accelerometer detects acceleration and displays speed on screen. It also powers the watch's auto-rotation feature, ensuring the display always appears right-side up.

Step Counter

The watch tracks the number of steps taken.

Training Program

A user-friendly app lets you manage your entire training routine - from building a workout plan to tracking your goals and results. It logs step count, calorie burn, distance, and lap times, and lets you compare training sessions.

VO2max

Determines cardiorespiratory capacity - ideal for endurance training. Using heart rate and running speed, it calculates the maximum oxygen consumption per kilogram of body weight per minute (ml/kg/min). This metric serves as a benchmark for cardiorespiratory fitness when working on running endurance or other sports.

GPS Speed and Distance Measurement

The watch uses GPS technology to measure current running speed and distance covered. All calculated data is displayed on a perfectly legible screen.

World Time Function

The world time function displays the time across 29 time zones and major cities worldwide.

Stopwatch - 100 Hours

Split-second timing: elapsed time, split time, and final time. Audible signals confirm start and stop. Stopwatch capacity reaches up to 100 hours.

100-Lap Memory

This memory stores dated lap times, split times, and elapsed times for later review. Each data block contains the following: date, elapsed time, lap time, and split times. The memory can hold up to 100 data blocks.

5 countdown timers - 1/1 sec - 60 minutes (with auto-repeat function)

This model features five independent countdown timers that sound a signal when the set time expires, then automatically restart from the pre-programmed time. The measurement range goes up to 60 minutes and can be adjusted in 1-second increments.

4 daily alarms

A daily audible alarm reminds you of your commitments at the programmed time. This model features four independent alarms, giving you the flexibility to stay on top of all your important appointments.

Vibration Alarm

The vibration alarm discreetly reminds you of important appointments - no noise required.

Snooze Function

Every time you dismiss the alarm, it goes off again a few minutes later.

Key-Click Tone On/Off

The key-click tone can be muted using the mode button. Once muted, no beep will sound when switching between functions. However, any programmed alarms or countdowns remain active after the key-click tone is turned off.

Incoming Email Indicator

For incoming emails, the sender's name is displayed on the watch.

Find My Phone function

Can't find your smartphone? Just press a button on the watch and your phone will sound an alert.

Automatic Calendar

Once set, the automatic calendar always shows the correct date.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres - equivalent to 200 meters - this model is what you'd confidently call a dive watch. Our watchmaking experts agree: while this timepiece handles showers, baths, lap swimming, free diving, and recreational scuba with ease, it is not designed for extreme deep-sea diving where pressure would compromise its seal. For professional divers tackling serious depths, we recommend models rated 30 atmospheres and above. We also advise against pressing any pushers or the crown while in water, to maintain a perfect seal at all times.
