The story of Timex goes back to the 1850s, when the brand first produced Waterbury wall clocks. It has since remained deeply committed to technological innovation, delivering remarkable timepieces generation after generation. The manufacture offers a wide-ranging lineup of quality watches for every taste - including the new Expedition North Watch TW2V54000. This versatile, high-performance field watch features a round case crafted from micro-blasted titanium. Shock-resistant and built tough, it measures 41 mm in diameter and 12.50 mm thick, fitting the majority of men's wrists with ease. A flat sapphire crystal provides excellent scratch protection for the dial. The right side of the case extends to shield the crowned crown, engraved with a green emblem representing the Expedition North mountain logo - used to set hours, minutes, and date. The screw-down caseback features grooves and a transparent window engraved with the "Expedition North" logo offering a view of the movement. It provides 20 ATM water resistance.
The dial of this watch exudes a clean, elegant look. It features a matte black grained base that pairs perfectly with the case finish. Two wide black luminescent hands deliver clear, fluid analog timekeeping in any condition. Joined by a slim black-and-white seconds hand, they point to Arabic numeral indexes, also luminescent for perfect legibility in the dark. The 12 o'clock index is replaced by the mountain logo, while 3 o'clock is marked by a dot next to the date window. The whole is enclosed by a white-graduated minute track. The brand name appears below 12 o'clock alongside the movement type, while at 6 o'clock the mentions "Shock Resistant" and "Titanium" are inscribed along with the water resistance rating.
This model is powered by a Japanese-made Miyota automatic movement. Featuring 21 jewels, it drives the hands and date window with smooth precision, delivering accurate and reliable display of hours, minutes, seconds, and date.
Timex chose an Ecco DriTan leather strap, produced using a revolutionary technology that significantly reduces water consumption during the tanning process. It features a black color and measures 20 mm wide at the lug. Fitted with spring bars for easy swapping and a titanium pin buckle for a flexible, secure fit, it comfortably accommodates wrists between 150 and 205 mm.
This model offers a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. This is a watch ready to go wherever your aquatic adventures take you - deep included. Built for freediving, it handles high-pressure cleaners without breaking a sweat. Shower, bath, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. For scuba diving with tanks, however, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also take care not to operate the crown or push buttons while submerged, to protect the integrity of the mechanism.
