The Brand

Founded in 1877 in the Netherlands, ELKA has deep roots in European watchmaking. The house notably served as “Watchmaker to the Queen” for the Netherlands' Queen Juliana and collaborated with leading names in the watch industry. Revived in 2022 in Neuchâtel by Hakim El Kadiri, ELKA has returned as an independent Swiss watchmaker. Inspired by the aesthetics of the 1960s, its creations combine neo-vintage lines, minimalism, and Swiss watchmaking expertise. Its philosophy, “Form Follows Feeling,” puts emotion at the heart of every timepiece.

The Watch

This watch brings together the heritage of Saint-Blaise and Swiss technical precision. Its round 316L stainless steel case pairs a robust look with subtle gray and orange accents. Celebrating 4,000 years of history, its matte brushed and satin finishes pay tribute to the Romans and their engineering achievements on Lake Neuchâtel. Measuring 41 mm in diameter, 46.50 mm long, and 11.85 mm thick, the watch offers a striking look and, thanks to its screw-down case back, water resistance to 20 ATM.

The Dial

This watch's dial has a smoked finish with a striking gradient reminiscent of the amber tones of Loch Lãt whisky. The hour markers and railroad minute track feature luminous SuperLuminova for visibility in low light. The analog display is completed by hands also coated with SuperLuminova, making the hours, minutes, and seconds easy to read.

The Movement

This watch is powered by a Swiss La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement, known for its precision and reliability. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), the caliber delivers precise timekeeping. Its impressive 68-hour power reserve keeps it running even when set aside for a few days. A hacking seconds function makes precise time-setting easy.

The Strap

The stainless steel bracelet combines comfort and durability. Its elegant, ergonomic beads-of-rice links sit comfortably on the wrist. A folding clasp adds security and makes it easy to put on.
