In 1959, it introduced the iconic "DS" (Double Security) collection, a line celebrated for extreme robustness and extraordinary resistance. We proudly present the DS Action GMT Powermatic 80 C032.929.26.051.00 watch from this iconic collection. This new edition features a round case perfectly suited to men's wrists, where it sits with confidence. Crafted from 316L stainless steel for long-lasting durability, it measures 41 mm in diameter and 13.80 mm in thickness, with a weight of 100 g. The case is fitted with a bidirectional bezel with notched grip and a surface treated in yellow PVD, in perfect harmony with the brilliance of the sapphire crystal insert. Two-toned in black and brown, the insert features a luminescent GMT scale with Arabic numerals in gold for clear hour reading. The dial is covered by a domed sapphire crystal offering scratch resistance and optimal legibility thanks to an anti-reflective coating. The screwed-down, protected crown is also finished in yellow PVD for a more striking look. Its grooved profile allows easy grip when setting the hands and date. The ensemble is completed by a screwed case back with a sapphire crystal window, delivering a water resistance of 20 ATM.

The Dial

True to the brand's commitment to performance and durability, the brown-toned dial features a classic inner bezel with a minute track accented by bold markers at every 5 minutes. Highly legible, it remains easy to read even in low light, thanks to the Super-LumiNova® treatment on the oversized geometric hour markers and the hands. The hands sport a golden yellow hue and are paired with a fourth hand in white whose arrowhead tip points to the 24-hour GMT scale. A date window rounds out the dial, adding a practical everyday complication. Refined text lends a mark of authenticity and a touch of sophistication: the brand signature appears at 12 o'clock, the collection and movement reference at 6 o'clock, and "Swiss Made" is noted at the bottom of the dial.

The Movement

The heart of this model beats with a Swiss automatic movement delivering an outstanding 80-hour power reserve. It runs on the ETA Powermatic 80.661 caliber, based on the ETA 2824-2, and features a Nivachron hairspring for enhanced precision and superior antimagnetic protection. This caliber is equipped with 25 jewels and beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour for reliable, accurate timekeeping. It offers analog display, a GMT function, and a date display.

The Bracelet

The bovine leather strap perfectly completes the watch's classic look. Its brown color is in perfect harmony with the dial, creating a beautiful aesthetic pairing. It features a lug width of 20 mm and fastens with a pin buckle for a comfortable, secure fit on your wrist.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 20 atmospheres - equivalent to 200 meters - this model is what we'd confidently call a dive watch. Our watchmaking experts agree: while this timepiece is more than up to the task for showering, bathing, swimming, freediving, or recreational scuba diving, it is not designed for extreme deep-sea diving where pressure would overcome its water resistance. For professional divers looking to push depth limits, we recommend models rated at 30 ATM or higher. We also advise against operating the pushers or crown while submerged, to maintain perfect water resistance at all times!
