The special forces mission timer. The operation that made Germany's elite GSG9 police unit world-famous: the rescue of hostages aboard the Landshut aircraft on 18/10/1977 in Mogadishu. That mission became as legendary as the diving watch worn by the unit's members.
The WatchWhat truly sets this watch apart is its proprietary Hydro technology. The movement, dial, and hands are immersed in a crystal-clear liquid with a refractive index identical to that of sapphire glass - eliminating reflections on the dial and hands through the sapphire crystal. This technology delivers perfect legibility and waterproofing at any depth.
Fitted with a stainless steel bracelet and folding clasp, this model delivers exceptional water resistance: waterproof to 500 ATM, meaning it can be submerged to a depth of 5,000 meters. The case itself is pressure-rated to 12,000 meters. These ratings have been tested and certified by Germanischer Lloyd, the international naval classification and technical insurance organization.
In search of a steel capable of withstanding extreme conditions, SINN engineers - working alongside German submarine manufacturers - developed the production of small quantities of the same steel used in German submarines. This steel is not only extraordinarily pressure-resistant, but also boasts the highest anti-magnetic rating with zero residual magnetism.
Topped with a flat sapphire crystal featuring double anti-reflective coating, the round case is crafted from submarine steel. It measures 44 mm in diameter, 13.3 mm thick, and weighs 105 grams.
The case is fitted with a black unidirectional rotating bezel offering a visual countdown function. To prevent accidental rotation, the bezel is secured to the case so it cannot be lost. The steel bezel has undergone TEGIMENT anti-impact treatment - a surface-hardening technology that effectively protects stainless steel against scratches.
The black dial features luminescent white hands and hour markers, an orange seconds hand, and a date window at 3:00. The screw-down crown is positioned at 4:00.
The MovementThis watch houses a Swiss ETA 955.652 quartz movement. This 7-jewel caliber displays hours, minutes, seconds, and the date. It features the Stop-Second mechanism for precise time-setting to the second.
