Through its partnership with the FNSP (Fédération Nationale des Sapeurs-pompiers de France), Lip is proud to introduce the Courage 671707 - a watch purpose-built for medical personnel. The watch features a round case with a 35 mm diameter crafted in 316L stainless steel. Its meticulously polished finish is complemented by a domed sapphire crystal measuring 12.8 mm thick, shielding the dial from impacts. To the right, a screw-down crown sits flanked by two push-buttons for adjusting the central functions. The watch is completed by a screw-down case back ensuring water resistance to 5 ATM.

Designed for first responders, this watch features a push-button at 2 o'clock for measuring cardiac and respiratory rates. To read your heart rate in beats per minute, use the red hand: count 15 heartbeats, then stop the chronograph and press the top button. Press the push-button at 4 o'clock to reset the dual hand and prepare for a new reading - simply activate the first button again to start. For breaths per minute, the blue hand does the work: count 5 breaths, stop the chronograph, then press the same button once more.

The Dial

This dial is carefully crafted for crisp, accurate timekeeping. Its white base is finished in a refined matte that gives it a clean, elegant look. The outer ring features a dual-color scale with surrounding graduation marks for measuring cardiorespiratory rate - the red zone tracks heartbeats while the blue zone measures breathing, each with its own unit of measure. Both are indicated by a central dual hand in blue and red. Flanking it are two sword-style hands for accurate timekeeping - the short one marks the hours, the long one the minutes. Both are finished in a polished silver tone that catches the eye. Together, they sweep past grey Arabic numerals alternating with lance-shaped indices around the dial. A date window sits at 6 o'clock, featuring the motto "courage et dévouement" at the top and the country of origin toward the bottom. The dial, marked "verre saphir," is signed with the brand name in black lettering at 12 o'clock.

The Movement

This watch is powered by a Japanese quartz movement - specifically, the Miyota caliber 0S21. Reliable and robust, it delivers precise hand and date accuracy along with strong vibration resistance. It runs on a 399 battery with an impressive autonomy of up to 5 years.

The Strap

This watch comes with two straps, each 18 mm wide. The first is a tricolor NATO strap echoing the colors of the French Republic's flag - sturdy, lightweight, and supremely comfortable to wear. It features silver-tone hardware for easy attachment and a chromed steel pin buckle for a precise, adjustable fit.

It also comes with a second strap crafted in rubber. In a "tropic" white tone, it features textured patterns that create a stitched effect, enhanced by micro-perforations that give it a distinctly sporty yet refined look. Flexible and durable, this strap is ideal for any physical or athletic activity and uses the same type of clasp as the first - making it easy to swap at will.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance up to 5 atmospheres, or 50 meters. It's built to get wet - cheerfully. From puddles to the pool, this timepiece can handle a splash, a shower, a bath, or a casual swim without missing a beat. That said, Ocarat's watchmaking experts want to be clear: water-resistant doesn't mean dive-ready. This model is not suitable for scuba or professional diving and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend not operating the crown or push-buttons while the watch is submerged.
