The Watch

Swiss watchmaker Le Jour crafts precise, high-quality timepieces with true Swiss expertise. Today, they present the LJ-LM-001, a watch aimed primarily at men, fine watchmaking enthusiasts, and motorsport fans. This chronograph watch features a round case in brushed and polished 316L stainless steel, measuring 42 mm in diameter and 17 mm thick - ideal proportions for a sporty man's wrist without feeling bulky. A unidirectional bezel sits atop the case and lets you calculate your speed. The dial is shielded by a solid dome-shaped anti-reflective sapphire crystal for optimal protection and legibility. A grooved crown at 3 o'clock handles all your adjustments and manual winding, flanked by two pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock to control the chronograph function. Finally, the engraved screw-down caseback delivers water resistance up to 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters.

The Dial

The dial of this watch is round and features a beautiful beige background. Its bold hour markers benefit from a Swiss Super-LumiNova treatment. The three central hands are crafted in stainless steel, displaying hours and minutes while the sweep hand serves the chronograph. They point to rectangular indices marking the hours, all treated with Super-LumiNova for clear visibility in low light. A minute track around the dial perimeter further enhances legibility. A large date window at 3 o'clock keeps you on top of every occasion. Three sub-dials at 6, 9, and 12 o'clock display the 12-hour counter, small seconds, and 30-minute counter respectively. Finally, Le Jour signs this model at 3 o'clock above the date window, with the movement name noted just below.

The Movement

This timepiece is powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement. The Sellita SW500 caliber delivers outstanding reliability, displaying hours, minutes, seconds, date, and day alongside the chronograph counters with exceptional precision.

The Strap

Complementing this model, the watchmaker selected a 316L stainless steel bracelet to match the case. It is brushed and polished and features three rows of links. The lug width measures 22 mm, and it fastens with a folding clasp fitted with push-button releases for added security.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance to 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a watch that can keep up with your deepest aquatic adventures - it's built for freediving! And since water holds no fear for it, you can even use a high-pressure washer while wearing it without worry. Showering, bathing, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. For scuba diving with tanks, however, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to protect the movement's integrity.
