"The Watch
Chronographs are deeply rooted in Sinn's DNA - a tradition carried forward since the brand's founding. It was through pilot chronographs and cockpit wall clocks for aviation that this German manufacturer built its legendary reputation. Now, the house unveils its latest creation: the 936 Chronograph. This timepiece features a 43 mm stainless steel case hardened with Sinn's proprietary "Sinn Tegiment" technology - a specialized surface treatment that creates a protective layer of exceptional scratch resistance. It is also shielded against magnetic fields up to 80,000 A/m. A sapphire crystal sits above the case, guarding the dial against damage. The screwed-down case back provides solid pressure resistance and more than adequate water resistance for a pilot's watch. At 3 o'clock, a winding crown sets the hands, flanked by two pushers that activate the chronograph and stop-seconds function. The Sinn 936 Chronograph is a no-nonsense instrument - focused, refined, and built to perform."
The Dial
The Sinn Chronograph features a round dial designed for easy reading, with markers and hands coated in luminescent white paint for clear legibility in the dark. On a black background, the dial houses 3 hands - the hour and minute hands sport a sword shape, rhodium-plated and brushed to a sophisticated matte silver finish. For contrast, the brand chose a long, gleaming red seconds hand. A white minute track around the dial's edge marks the minutes, while baton-style markers indicate the hours. The German watchmaker has placed 2 sub-dials on this face: a 60-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock on the right, and a small seconds counter on the left. A discreet date window at 6 o'clock, while the watchmaker's name takes pride of place at 12 o'clock.
The Movement
At the heart of this timepiece beats a Swiss-made automatic movement - a caliber developed exclusively by Sinn. The SZ05, based on the ETA 7750 (Valjoux), has been reworked and modified to extend the chronograph sub-dial at 3 o'clock from the standard 30-minute scale to a full 60-minute scale. This caliber drives the hands and also provides the chronograph and date functions. It features a Stop Seconds mechanism for precise time-setting to the exact second.
The Strap
This model features a black leather strap with fine red stitching. It delivers exceptional comfort and outstanding durability. An engraved silver-tone ardillon buckle bearing the brand's name lets you adjust the fit to your wrist. The 22 mm lug width is perfectly proportioned for a men's wrist.
Water Resistance
At 100 meters - 10 ATM in watchmaking terms - this boldly styled timepiece is equally at home at a black-tie gala and in the water. Feel free to wear it in the shower, the bath, or during active swimming sessions. That said, our expert team is clear: this model is not designed for scuba diving - freediving or with tanks - or for use with high-pressure washers. The rule is simple: shower, bath, and swimming only, and keep the pushers and crown dry while you're in the water.
