In 1947, born in the heartland of French watchmaking, Herbelin unveiled its first made-in-France timepiece. Driven by precision mechanics, the brand built its reputation year after year, becoming a legacy passed down through generations. It crafts timepieces that are robustly built and ready for any condition. With a unique blend of expertise and creativity, Herbelin delivers highly sophisticated, long-lasting watches that continually restore the prestige of traditional French horology. Discover the Cap Camarat Diver Automatic 1745N14CMD watch, designed for everyday wear by men. Its two-tone design showcases a case crafted from brushed and polished 316L stainless steel with a black DLC coating, giving it a striking, distinctive look. With a barrel shape, the case measures 42 mm in diameter and 12.30 mm in thickness. It features a bezel made from the same materials as the case, adorned with screw heads. The bezel frames a sapphire crystal that shields the dial from impact. On the right side, two black crowns are fitted - they control the watch's functions and feature a subtle ridged texture for a secure grip. The watch is finished with a transparent case back offering a water resistance of 20 ATM, while also letting you admire the movement's oscillations.
Meticulously laid out, the dial delivers accurate timekeeping at a glance. It features a black base with a striped finish and striking white lines. At its center, three hands ensure precise reading in any condition. The short and long gray hands indicate the hours and minutes respectively, while the slender orange seconds hand tracks the seconds. They sweep across geometric hour markers with a circular design. These markers feature a luminescent treatment - also applied to the hands - ensuring optimal legibility when you need it most. Around the edge, an inner bezel displays a minute railroad track, a luminescent marker at 12 o'clock, and an orange arc with detailed graduations. For added functionality, a double window at 3 o'clock shows the day of the week in English abbreviation and the current month's date. Lower, near 6 o'clock, the dial carries the Made in France label and the model's water resistance rating. Opposite, just below 12, the brand signs its name.
This timepiece is powered by a reliable and robust automatic movement. Of Swiss origin, it beats on the Sellita SW220-1 caliber, oscillating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour - or 4 Hz - with 26 jewels to minimize friction. This mechanism ensures precise timekeeping for the hands, date, and day, while delivering a power reserve of 41 hours.
This watch features a bold orange strap that adds a captivating touch to any look. Crafted from silicone, it delivers outstanding durability in any situation. Flexible and lightweight, it sits comfortably on your wrist for all-day wear. Finished with engraved lines and secured by a tang buckle, it's as easy to put on as it is to wear.
With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres - equivalent to 200 meters - this model is what you'd confidently call a dive watch. Our watchmaking experts agree: while this timepiece handles showers, baths, lap swimming, freediving, and recreational scuba diving with ease, it is not intended for extreme deep-sea diving, where the pressure would exceed its water resistance rating. Professional divers taking on serious depth challenges should look toward models rated at 30 atmospheres and above. We also recommend keeping the pushers and crown out of contact with water to maintain a perfect seal at all times.
