The Watch

Pierre Balmain founded his haute couture house in Paris in the aftermath of World War II. Quickly achieving worldwide renown, Balmain launched its first watch collection in 1987. Emblematic of femininity, each Balmain timepiece is crafted with care and precision. In 2006, Miss Switzerland honored the house by wearing the brand-new Balmainia Chrono Lady collection. Since then, the collection has grown, and today we present the B5638.33.82. It features a 38mm stainless steel case. The case is topped by a flower-shaped pink PVD bezel. Matching it, the two pushers and the crown on the side are also rose-tinted. A sapphire crystal protects the dial. The silver-toned case back is snap-fitted and guarantees water resistance to 5 bar.

The Dial

The white mother-of-pearl dial immediately brings a touch of femininity. The twelve rose gold Roman numeral indices are elegant and alluring. Equally refined, the dauphine-style hands with a beveled edge are simply beautiful. The dial displays hours, minutes, and seconds, and also features three additional sub-dials. At 2 o'clock, a counter shows tenths of a second. At 6 o'clock, you can time up to 60 minutes - and at the bottom of that sub-dial sits a white date window with black text. The last counter is at 10 o'clock and tracks 30 minutes. Just below 12 o'clock, the Balmain signature appears in black.

The Movement

The caliber housed in this case is a high-precision quartz movement, displaying hours, minutes, small seconds, and date - plus a chronograph function. This Swiss movement comes from ETA, a manufacture with roots in watchmaking dating back to 1856, and is referenced as G15.212AB. A single battery will last approximately 36 months.

The Bracelet

This bracelet is modern and on-trend. Crafted in steel, it features three rows of links. The main row is silver-toned. The two thinner rows on either side are in rose PVD. A deployment clasp lets you adjust the fit to your wrist.

Water Resistance

With 5 ATM water resistance (50 meters), this watch is your first step into the world of water-resistant timepieces. While not designed for bathing, swimming, or diving, you can afford to forget to take it off in the shower. That said, our experts recommend keeping this timepiece dry to preserve its movement for years to come.
