The Watch

Hakim El Kadiri is a passionate watchmaker who founded ELKA Watch Co. - a manufacture steeped in history, credibility, and passion. Inspired by the products and aesthetic of the 1960s, he is dedicated to crafting clean, charming timepieces. This is beautifully embodied in the X01, designed as a tribute to the watches of the historic Dutch brand Elka Watch. A true blend of precision and robustness, it was conceived for men in search of authenticity and distinguished wristwear. It features a round case crafted in 316L stainless steel with a polished and brushed finish, measuring 40.80 mm in diameter, 10.80 mm thick, and 46.50 mm in length. The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal that shields it from shocks and scratches while ensuring a comfortable reading experience. The crown at 3 o'clock offers a solid grip for adjusting the watch's functions. Finally, the screwed case back ensures a water resistance of 3 ATM.

The Dial

The round dial of this stunning watch is a true marriage of elegance and refinement. Draped in black, it is dotted with colorful details that make it a one-of-a-kind piece. The minutes are marked by a set of Arabic numerals printed in Superluminova™ "Old Tritium" color, framing a minute track running along the outer edge - featuring fine white graduations and triangular hour markers. The leaf-shaped hour and minute hands are crafted in brushed nickel and filled with beige Superluminova for legibility even in the dark. A matching seconds hand completes the trio. At 3 o'clock, a black-background date window displays the date. The brand's name is printed at 12 o'clock, making this watch an essential piece for lovers of distinctive style.

The Movement

This stunning timepiece beats to the rhythm of a automatic movement renowned for its reliability and precision. Powered by the La Joux-Perret G100 caliber, it oscillates at 28,800 vph and features a stop-seconds function for precise time setting. This robust, high-performance mechanism ensures smooth running of the hands and the date window for an accurate analog display. It also delivers a power reserve of 68 hours.

The Strap

The vintage elegance of this watch is brought to life by one of two included straps. Comfortable and durable, both effortlessly elevate any outfit with an on-trend flair. Each fastens with an 18 mm pin buckle for a secure, confident fit. The lug width is 20 mm.

The first NATO strap comes in a warm beige tone and charms with its grooved texture. A striking contrast to the dial color, it adds a playful pop of color to your wrist for a look that's subtle yet captivating.

The second strap is crafted in dark brown bovine leather and elevated by white stitching. It dresses your wrist with understated elegance while adding a warm touch of color to any outfit.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 30 meters - or 3 atmospheres in watchmaker's terms - this watch is no swimmer. Water is its delicate movement's worst enemy, and our team strongly recommends keeping it dry. Feel free to wear it in the rain or while doing the dishes, but skip the shower, the bath, the pool, and definitely the deep blue - this one prefers to stay high and dry.
