Bodensee 8160-5 Automatic Watch

The Watch

With its vintage aesthetic, the new Bodensee 8160-5 automatic watch by Zeppelin reclaims the codes of classical elegance. Its polished stainless steel case measures 41 millimeters in diameter and 12 mm in thickness, topped with a K1 mineral crystal to protect the dial. A stainless steel crown at three o'clock allows you to set the hours, minutes, and seconds hands. Finally, the screw-down case back ensures water resistance of 5 ATM, equivalent to 50 m depth.

The Dial

The round dial features a beige background. For easy timekeeping, it is fitted with three hands: two in gray - one for hours, one for minutes - and a black seconds hand. They track along a railroad minute/second track and baton indices for the hours, along with Arabic numerals at twelve o'clock. A date window lets you check today's date at approximately three o'clock. With an eye for detail, the brand logo and name appear at twelve o'clock, while the movement type and power reserve are displayed at six o'clock.

The Movement

This watch is powered by an automatic Miyota 8315 movement with a theoretical power reserve of 60 hours. It displays the date in a window at three o'clock, along with hours, minutes, and seconds.

The Strap

This timepiece features a brown crocodile-embossed leather strap with contrast stitching and a stainless steel pin buckle. The lug width is 20 mm.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 50 meters, or 5 ATM in standard watchmaking terms, this timepiece handles everyday splashes with ease - but prolonged water contact is not recommended. You can wear it in the shower on occasion, but to preserve the precision and quality of the movement, our watch specialists strongly advise keeping it away from H2O - whether bath, pool, or sea. Bottom line: no swimming, no diving, and no prolonged immersion or water contact.
