The Watch
German watchmaker Zeppelin presents a timepiece inspired by the Atlantic Ocean. The Atlantic collection, to which this model belongs, pays tribute to the brand's legendary airships that crossed this vast expanse of water on journeys between Europe and the United States. The Z-8470-3 is housed in a round stainless steel case with a grey finish, sized perfectly for men's wrists at 40mm in diameter and 13mm thick. A hardened K1 mineral glass crystal sits over the dial for reliable protection. A crown at 3 o'clock allows you to set the time and wind the movement manually. Finally, a screwed caseback ensures water resistance of 5 ATM.

The Dial
A round dial in a captivating shade of blue sets the tone instantly. Three silver-toned hands take center stage: the dauphine hour and minute hands feature a luminescent treatment for visibility in the dark, while the slender seconds hand adds a touch of refinement. The dial showcases a double-circle finish. Silver-toned applied indices mark the hours around the perimeter, while a white minute track runs along the inner ring. A 24-hour sub-counter sits at 9 o'clock within the inner circle. A rectangular date window at 3 o'clock keeps you up to date. Zeppelin's logo and name appear as a signature just below the 12 o'clock index, with the Atlantic collection name and movement reference noted at 6 o'clock.

The Movement
Beneath the stainless steel caseback beats an automatic movement - the Miyota caliber 8217. Reliable and precise, this Japanese analog movement drives the hours, minutes, seconds, date window, and sub-counter via three hands. The caliber features 21 jewels and offers a power reserve of 42 hours.

The Strap
A cognac leather strap dresses the watch with understated elegance, enhancing its vintage character. The warm brown tone is incredibly versatile and brings out the full beauty of the dial - making this a watch you'll reach for every day. The lug width measures 22mm, and the strap fastens with a stainless steel pin buckle.

Water Resistance
With a water resistance of 5 atmospheres (50 meters), this watch offers a solid entry into water-resistant territory. While it's not designed for bathing, swimming, or diving, you can comfortably forget to take it off in the shower.
