The Watch
Sinn crafts its functional timepieces with exceptional attention to detail and unmatched prestige. The brand was born under the vision of one man - Helmut Sinn, a former pilot - and quickly developed a strong connection to the world of aviation and beyond. In 1999, Sinn unveiled a groundbreaking new instrument: the 206 Arktis, the world's first dive chronograph engineered to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -45°C to 80°C. To mark the 20th anniversary of this iconic model, the brand introduces an updated version: the Arktis II. This second chapter features a 43mm case - up from the original Arktis's 40mm - crafted entirely from 316L steel and fitted with a screwed crown at 3 o'clock for time-setting and manual winding. Two pushers flank the crown, seamlessly integrated into the case via Sinn's innovative D3 system. A sapphire crystal protects the dial from impacts and scratches, while a graduated rotating bezel - purpose-built for diving, complete with a countdown timer and luminescent markers - underscores the watch's professional credentials. Water-resistant to 30 ATM, the watch also features a screwed, transparent caseback that is both high-performance and visually stunning, offering a window into the movement in action.
The Dial
The dial of this diver echoes the colors of the ocean, with a round shape set against a bold deep blue. Featuring a sunray brushed finish, this striking blue beautifully contrasts with the gleaming steel of the case. True to its diver DNA, the watch features luminescent indices that remain clearly visible even at depth. These indices take the form of thick applied markers and are paired with Arabic numerals - except at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock. For added precision and chronograph functionality, a white-graduated minute track runs along the perimeter of the blue dial. The dial is further enriched by three subdials at 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, serving respectively as a 12-hour counter, 60-second counter, and 30-minute counter. A double date window at 3 o'clock adds another practical dimension, featuring a black background with white numerals. Three luminescent hands sweep at the center, each coated in luminescent white. The Sinn signature is the final touch, positioned just above the date window.
The Movement
For near-flawless performance, this watch is equipped with an automatic movement. Straight from the Concepto manufacture, the caliber C99001 brings this diver to life - on land and at sea. In detail, this self-winding movement features 25 jewels, an oscillation frequency of 28,800 vph, and is protected against magnetic fields in accordance with DIN 8309.
The Bracelet
To elegantly complement this diver on the wrist, Sinn opted for a steel bracelet - perfectly suited to aquatic environments and rated to 30 ATM, matching the case. The bracelet combines links with both brushed and polished finishes for a refined look. It fastens with a folding clasp, and the lug width measures 22 millimeters.
Water Resistance
With 30 atmospheres of water resistance - that's 300 meters - our watch specialists have just one thing left to say: enjoy your next aquatic adventure. Fully waterproof, this model is ready for anything: shower, bath, swimming, freediving, or scuba diving. To maintain its long-term water resistance, however, our watchmakers recommend avoiding use of the pushers or crown while submerged.
