The Watch
Classically vintage in style, this "Ranger" version from the new Académie collection by Ralf Tech draws direct inspiration from the military world. Beneath its studied simplicity, the martial character of this ultra-functional watch evokes the origins of military academies - accompanying cadets throughout their training. The case is crafted in surgical-grade stainless steel (316L), renowned for its dimensional stability and robustness. Fully brushed, the case offers a 41 mm diameter and 14.5 mm thickness. It is topped with a "Glass Box" sapphire crystal - a 2.5 mm chimney-style glass with anti-reflective treatment, giving the watch a retro-vintage spirit. The crown is screwed down at 3 o'clock. Finally, the screw-down caseback ensures excellent water resistance, and features an engraving with the watch's individual serial number.

The Dial
The dial of this timepiece is round with a matte grey finish. It offers outstanding legibility for hours and minutes. Two luminescent (SuperLuminova) silver-tone hands mark the hours and minutes, while a finer hand of the same color smoothly tracks the seconds. Likewise, the luminescent Arabic numeral indexes, treated with SuperLuminova, display a pale green hue with a gradient finish. These Arabic numeral indexes are harmoniously complemented by a pale green minute track. Finally, the brand name in black appears at 12 o'clock.

The Movement
This watch houses an automatic self-winding mechanical movement RTA003 based on the NH36 caliber, offering a 42-hour power reserve. Ensuring solid shock resistance for the mechanism thanks to Incabloc technology, this 24-jewel caliber delivers outstanding reliability with a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz) and provides hours, minutes, and seconds functions.

The Strap
This timepiece is delivered in a vintage calfskin travel case. It comes with two straps to give this model a vintage style elegance and all-day comfort. The first strap is in vintage calfskin leather with a satin finish in black, and a second "tropic" strap is in silicone with a 22 mm lug width. The leather strap features green stitching that harmonizes with the indexes and minute markers. The silicone strap is black, perfectly suited for sport. Both straps fasten with a silver-tone tang buckle.

Water Resistance
With a water resistance rating of 20 atmospheres - equivalent to 200 meters - this model can confidently be called a dive watch. That said, our watchmaking experts note that while this timepiece is more than suited for showering, bathing, lap swimming, or freediving, it is not designed for professional scuba diving with tanks, where the pressure would exceed its resistance. For professional divers, we recommend models rated at 30 atmospheres or higher. We also advise against operating the pushers or crown while in water, to maintain optimal water resistance.
