Founded in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont in Besançon, Yema is a prestigious French watchmaking brand. Known for rugged, feature-packed timepieces built for diving, motorsport, and space exploration, Yema is proud to present the Yachtingraf Croisiere Meca-Quartz YMHF1583-B - a solid, dependable watch that will win over men in search of a high-performing yet refined timepiece. Its round case in brushed and polished 316L stainless steel measures 38.50 mm in diameter and 10.30 mm in thickness over a length of 46 mm. It's fitted with a double-dome hesalite crystal 2.00 mm thick, sitting above the dial and the central markers. These are operated by two grey pushers and a grey push crown at 3 o'clock, with a knurled grip for easy handling. Finally, this model offers 10 ATM water resistance, secured by a screwed and engraved caseback with a polished/brushed relief effect obtained by hydraulic press.
This elegant and sophisticated dial delivers a refined design with precise timekeeping. Its round shape features a matte white background with a minute track and polished stainless steel baton indices. Three central hands sweep across these markers: the slim yellow seconds hand tracks elapsed seconds, the long hand points to the minutes, and the short hand indicates the hours. The latter two, in silver, are coated with Super-LumiNova BGW9 for enhanced legibility in low light. Surrounding them, three additional sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock add functionality: they display respectively the 24-hour time, the 60-second chronograph, and an oversized regatta countdown. The Y logo and brand name appear below 12 o'clock as the brand's signature.
At the heart of this model beats a Seiko VK63 meca-quartz movement. Of Japanese origin, this hybrid mechanism runs at a frequency of 32,768 Hz and is resistant to vibrations. The quartz caliber ensures precision for timekeeping functions, while the mechanical module drives the chronograph. Powered by a battery, this timepiece delivers approximately 3 years of autonomy.
This timepiece comes with a choice of two straps featuring a lug width of 19 mm, selectable via the dropdown menu.
The first strap is supple, sturdy, and comfortable. Crafted from grained calf leather with turquoise blue stitching, it has a polished, refined look. Its white tone pairs beautifully with any color in your wardrobe. The grey pin buckle makes for easy adjustment and is signed with the brand's logo.
The second is made from 316L stainless steel, lending it a refined style and lasting durability. Carefully polished, it features a Milanese mesh finish that gives it a captivating allure. Its silver tone complements any accessory, and the sliding clasp makes it effortless to adjust.
With 100-meter water resistance - or 10 ATM in proper watchmaking parlance - this sharp-looking timepiece can hold its own at a gala and in the water alike. Feel free to wear it in the shower, the bath, or the pool (even for serious laps). That said, our team of watch experts is clear: this model is not designed for scuba diving - freedive or tank - or for use with high-pressure washers. The rule is simple: shower, bath, and swimming only, and keep the pushers and crown dry.
