Yema is a French watchmaking brand founded in 1948 by Henry-Louis Belmont. Starting out by revisiting horology classics, the manufacture steadily honed its expertise and unique know-how, producing original, sophisticated, and highly precise timepieces that earned it international acclaim. In recent years, Yema has turned its focus to developing its own in-house movements, opening an exciting new chapter in its storied history. In collaboration with the legendary watchmaker, celebrated designer, and French artist Alain Silberstein, Yema presents its latest creation - a playful, joyful universe where fine watchmaking meets modern art. This stunning collaborative watch 20.24.66.TN redefines the classic codes and standards of timepieces that marry style, precision, and functionality. It's a colorful, one-of-a-kind piece issued in a limited edition of 500 numbered examples, ready to inject a shot of joy and fun into your collection. Easy to pair with any style, it adds a contemporary elegance to your look and delivers a truly unique and enchanting watch experience. Composed of several elements, its perfectly round case has been meticulously crafted down to the finest detail, combining advanced engineering and manufacturing techniques. Designed by Alain Silberstein, it is made from Grade 5 titanium and draped in a deep black finish achieved through a DLC coating, lending this watch a refined, understated elegance that lets its artistic character shine. A micro-blasting treatment gives it a captivating satin/polished effect on the wrist. Thoughtfully sized for men's wrists, it measures 40 mm in diameter, 11 mm thick, and 44.50 mm in lug-to-lug length. The dial is shielded from shocks and daily wear by a sapphire crystal measuring 2.20 mm thick, featuring a double-dome shape that adds a refined vintage-inspired aesthetic. Two screw-down crowns sit at 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock, each finished in black with a knurled grip for easy handling. The upper crown features a blue Cerakote® ceramic-coated top and controls the internal rotating bezel, while the lower crown handles time-setting. The symmetrical, perfectly balanced dual-crown layout deepens the distinguished charm of this exclusive edition with a touch of depth and modernity. Water-resistant to 200 meters, the case back is held by four screws and engraved, featuring a transparent sapphire crystal aperture that lets you admire the full splendor of the movement within. Two Koi carp - symbols of perseverance, courage, and love - are embossed on the case back, underscoring the singular character of this beautiful masterpiece.
A stunning black dial sits gracefully within the case, showcasing the playful artistic design that is the signature of Alain Silberstein. The artist - celebrated for his bold, colorful, and one-of-a-kind creations - has brought his daring spirit and singular approach to watchmaking into this piece, blending contemporary shapes with vibrant hues. The dial surface is elevated by a matte finish and a galvanic treatment, and is swept by three striking, highly original hands that make reading the time a genuinely enjoyable experience. The hour hand takes the form of a red triangle outlined in white SuperLuminova, while the minute hand features an arrow shape coated in bright yellow SuperLuminova. The seconds hand is replaced by a starfish in Berlac powder in a vibrant blue, also treated with SuperLuminova. Together, they create a deep and striking geometric dimension that is sure to turn heads. Around the dial, twelve fully luminescent 3D relief indices - made from white SuperLuminova - serve as hour markers. Their three-dimensional character and varied geometric shapes reinforce the artistic aesthetic while enhancing legibility in the dark. They are separated by white lines forming a minute track. A diving bezel adds an extra layer of functionality: this bidirectional inner ring features a minute scale made up of luminescent 3D markers filled with SuperLuminova and white lines, helping you track elapsed time during any activity. The first 15 minutes are detailed and graduated on a bright blue surface for maximum visual impact. Finally, Yema places its logo just below 12 o'clock as a signature, and on the opposite side indicates the country of manufacture with the word "marine" rendered in a stylized font.
The Yema CMM.20 caliber powering this watch is an ultra-thin automatic movement of French manufacture, renowned for its exceptional quality, outstanding performance, and inherent beauty. It stands out with its black bridges decorated by electroplating and a red oscillating weight that give it a uniquely contemporary aesthetic. This antimagnetic movement with 33 jewels, developed by Olivier Mory, delivers a precision of -3/+7 seconds per day. It provides a power reserve of 70 hours and beats at a frequency of 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour. Featuring a bidirectional tungsten micro-rotor, it is shock-resistant thanks to its Incabloc® double-cone system. Hours, minutes, and seconds are displayed with precision and reliability in any situation.
This integrated strap is the perfect go-anywhere companion. It hugs the contours of your wrist with a refined fit, delivering all-day comfort whether you're exploring the deep or going about your day. Crafted from premium FKM rubber, it features a black colorway that pairs perfectly with the case. For extra versatility, a second strap - also in FKM rubber - is included with your purchase, this one in a rich burgundy red. Both straps share a 20 mm lug width and are secured with a deployant clasp crafted in Grade 5 titanium with a black DLC micro-blasted finish.
This model offers a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters - making it a true companion for deep-water aquatic adventures. It's engineered for freediving and handles high-pressure water jets without breaking a sweat. Showering, bathing, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. That said, for scuba diving with tanks, our experts recommend a timepiece with a higher water-resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to protect the movement's integrity.
