This watch is the result of an unprecedented collaboration with Blackout Watches.
The idea was born in our offices: to imagine a radical version of their iconic XP1, pushed to its aesthetic extreme.
We chose a Musou Black dial - one of the deepest blacks in the world - to create a sense of total visual absorption. The entire design is engineered to swallow light, until only one thing commands your attention: the tourbillon, staged like a solitary, almost supernatural source of light. This theatrical construction is meant to elevate the complexity of the mechanism, transforming it into a poetic focal point.
It's also a nod to the Blackout DNA: shadow, contrast, audacity.
And it was precisely this model that was selected to represent Blackout Watches at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2024, in the "Tourbillon" category - a first for the brand.
A choice that speaks volumes about their drive to challenge conventions, even against the great Swiss houses.

The Watch

The XP1 Tourbillon Ultrablack Watch embodies the very essence of elegance and modern engineering through its unique UAC forged carbon construction. Its barrel shape strikes a bold balance between modernity and sophistication, measuring 44 mm in width and 52 mm in length, with a thickness of 14.8 mm. This piece weighs 110 g, perfectly balanced for optimal wrist comfort. The Blackout Watches x Ocarat watch is a limited edition of just 30 numbered pieces, showcasing the exceptional combined expertise of both brands.

The Dial

The dial is a true visual spectacle. Featuring Ultrablack Musou paint, this dial shatters aesthetic standards with its revolutionary black finish that absorbs up to 99.4% of visible light. This shade delivers an ultra-deep, intense black, creating a striking optical effect with sharp contrast against the luminescent indices and hands. The open-heart dial exposes part of the tourbillon mechanism, deepening the fascination with the hypnotic movement of its gears.

The Movement

At the heart of this limited edition beats a high-precision manual-winding mechanical movement. This timepiece is equipped with a tourbillon, a prestigious and refined watchmaking complication that delivers an impressive power reserve of 72 hours. This immaculate mechanism is beautifully showcased through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, allowing enthusiasts to admire the intricate beauty within.
