The Watch

The brand unveils the Radio Controlled Moonphase BY1018-­80E - the world's first light-powered watch combined with atomic timekeeping. Inspired by Japanese mythology and the moon god Tsuki-yomi, this model is housed in a round case crafted from hardened titanium coated with DLC, renowned for its durability and longevity. Its 43 mm diameter and 10.87 mm thickness make a bold statement on the wrist. The case features a polished black bezel that blends seamlessly into the dark design, reinforcing the watch's understated elegance. Everything is protected by a flat sapphire crystal that guards against scratches and accidental damage. On the right side of the case, a grooved crown measuring 6.00 mm in diameter handles hour, minute, and date adjustments. It is accompanied by two pump-type push-buttons for operating the model's various complications. The case back is also crafted in titanium. Its snap-fit design ensures 10 ATM water resistance and features a GMT scale printed in black.

The Dial

The dial of this watch strikes a perfect balance between timeless aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. Its black textured base evokes the vast expanse of the cosmos, while a photorealistic full moon gleams at its center, creating a captivating contrast. The moon phase complication sits in a subdial at 6 o'clock, offering a view of the northern or southern hemisphere. A day/night indicator is displayed as AM/PM, and a subdial at 12 o'clock combines the day of the week, power reserve, and north/south hemisphere display. The date window is positioned at 4 o'clock. The dial's outer edge features a classic minute track complemented by beveled baton indices in silver. These markers are treated with a luminescent coating, as are the sword-shaped hour and minute hands, ensuring clear legibility in low-light conditions. The seconds hand echoes the sword motif with a three-pointed handle-shaped counterweight. For added functionality, the black chapter ring displays a time zone, daylight saving time indicators, and a reception indicator. Finally, the brand's signature appears at 3 o'clock alongside the movement type and collection name.

The Movement

This model is powered by the Eco-Drive H874-08M movement. It is a quartz caliber operating at a precision of -15/+15 seconds per month, thanks to radio-controlled atomic timekeeping technology. It delivers the following functions: hours, minutes, seconds, radio-controlled, perpetual calendar, world time, date, day, moon phase, second time zone, and 24-hour display.

The Strap

This watch is fitted with a silver-toned titanium bracelet. It features three rows of finely brushed links with two polished lines running down the center for added elegance. The bracelet measures 22 mm at the lug end and tapers to 20 mm at the push-button deployment clasp, ensuring a lightweight and comfortable fit on the wrist.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. That makes it a genuinely water-resistant watch! Its great-looking design means it's ready to dive into aquatic adventures right alongside you. From puddles to the pool, this timepiece handles splashes without complaint - showering, bathing, and lap swimming are no problem at all. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want you to know that while this model is water-resistant, it is not designed for diving (recreational or professional) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and push-buttons out of use while the watch is submerged.
