The Watch

A true success story, the brand has consistently surprised us with its distinctively DNA-driven designs - rooted in nautical sports - and the outstanding quality of its timepieces. Continuing that legacy, Herbelin is proud to introduce its latest creation: the Newport Originals Chrono 37654T35. This model revisits the original codes of the very first Newport collection pieces, launched in 1988, with select technical and stylistic updates. The case measures 40.30 mm in diameter and features a porthole shape inspired by sailing yachts. This size strikes an ideal balance, making it versatile enough for any wrist. At just 10.55 mm thick, it wears so effortlessly you'll forget it's there. Fully machined in 316L stainless steel, this is a timepiece built to stand the test of time. The polished and brushed steel finish is simply stunning - this material is the gold standard for the world's finest watchmakers. You'll also notice that the case sides and part of the lugs are finished in Yellow Gold PVD, lending the piece an irresistibly sporty-chic appeal. To best protect the dial, a sapphire crystal offers outstanding scratch resistance. The pusher at 2 o'clock starts and pauses the chronograph, while the one at 4 o'clock handles the reset. A crown at 3 o'clock lets you set the time and date of your choice. On the caseback, you'll find a snap-on back decorated with a ship's wheel motif.

The Dial

A stunning royal blue sunray dial adorns this timepiece, evoking the deep hues of the open sea and whisking you away to the far corners of the seven seas. The hour markers take the shape of a boat in Yellow Gold PVD. The 12 o'clock index stands apart with its distinctive ship's wheel shape, also in Yellow Gold PVD. For a more precise time read, a baton-style minute track in gold runs along the entire perimeter of the dial. The hour and minute hands also feature a boat silhouette, finished in Yellow Gold PVD with a luminous material at their center for visibility even in the dark. The sub-dial at 3 o'clock houses the seconds hand. The one at 6 o'clock tracks up to 12 consecutive hours. And the one at 9 o'clock displays the last 30 minutes of a timing session. Because knowing today's date at a glance is always handy, you'll find a date window between 4 and 6 o'clock. Finally, the brand signs its masterpiece at 12 o'clock, proudly bearing the "Made in France" inscription.

The Movement

This exquisite, highly elegant watch is powered by a Swiss-made Ronda 5040D quartz movement, delivering precision and long-lasting reliability. Its chronograph module lets you time anything you set your sights on.

The Strap

Because this watch is the ultimate in chic, it comes fitted with a blue shark leather strap - a subtle nod to the world of the sea. A refined pin buckle in Yellow Gold PVD stainless steel serves as the clasp, combining ease of use with security.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance to 5 ATM, or 50 m. Designed to be as beautiful as it is capable, this watch turns heads at every occasion - and still holds its own against the elements. Feel free to wear it in the shower, though the Ocarat team recommends setting it aside on the sink's edge to preserve its brilliance and integrity over time. Swimming and diving are not recommended, as doing so may damage the watch and result in repair costs.
