The Watch
Frédérique Constant pays tribute once again to its Swiss watchmaking expertise by modernizing its iconic Flyback Chronograph Manufacture. This highly precise and complex mechanism is housed in a round, polished stainless steel case. Its dimensions are decidedly masculine, with a 42 mm diameter and a 13.8 mm thickness. The stunning dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, prized in the watchmaking world for its exceptional hardness and outstanding resistance to scratches and everyday impacts. A fixed, polished bezel frames the case, which features two pushers and a crown positioned at 2 o'clock, 4 o'clock, and 3 o'clock respectively - giving you full control over the watch's complications, including the chronograph function and the hands for analog time reading. Watch enthusiasts will be captivated by the transparent case back, which offers a refined view of the rotor's oscillations with every movement of the wrist. The house's meticulous and prestigious craftsmanship is showcased on the back of the piece. Finally, the watch features a screwed case back, guaranteeing water resistance of 5 atmospheres - that is, up to 50 meters deep.
The Dial
Modern and elegant, this dial features a round shape - a timeless choice in the world of watchmaking. Its striking design centers on a blue sunray-finished surface. It houses three sub-dials positioned at 9 o'clock, 3 o'clock, and 6 o'clock, representing respectively a small seconds counter, a 30-minute counter, and a date display. Analog time is read via two alpha-type hands indicating the hours and minutes, coated with a luminescent treatment for easy night reading. They are accompanied by a slim seconds hand for precise timekeeping. The refined detail of this timepiece continues around the dial edge, with silver-toned hour markers and minute graduations every 5 minutes. A railway track paired with a tachymeter scale adds a sporty dimension and enhances minute reading - the tachymeter function allowing you to measure the speed of a moving object. Finally, this stunning dial is signed by the house beneath the 12 o'clock index, and the lower portion of the dial bears the movement's origin with the mention "Swiss Made".
The Movement
This prestigious timepiece houses a chronograph complication - a timeless feature in the world of watchmaking. Originally complex to produce, this complication was taken to a new level of sophistication by Frédérique Constant in the 1930s. The flyback chronograph allows the counter to be reset and restarted with a single press of the pusher, replacing the need for three successive presses. The brand spent approximately 6 years developing this highly prestigious FC-760 caliber, which is composed of 32 jewels. This Geneva-born movement offers a 38-hour power reserve and achieves a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
The Strap
This stunning timepiece stands out with its blue alligator leather strap. The rich blue tones echo the color of the dial, while the contrasting stitching adds a classic touch and mirrors the tone of the case. This strap will elevate any outfit with elegance and a modern edge. The chronograph fastens with a single deployment clasp stamped with the Frédérique Constant logo. Note that the lug width measures 21 mm.
Water Resistance
With a water resistance of 5 atmospheres - equivalent to 50 meters - this watch is your gateway to water-resistant timekeeping. While it isn't designed for swimming, sports diving, or scuba diving, you can safely forget to take it off in the shower. That said, our team of experts recommends keeping this timepiece dry to preserve its movement for years to come.
