Founded in 1961, Sinn is a leading engineering-driven watchmaking company with a broad range of technological innovations. The brand is known as the first manufacturer of dive watches certified to European diving instrument standards. Today, this German label presents the 103 St Ty Hd 103.211 - a captivating reissue of the Sinn 103 C chronograph from the 1970s, offered as a limited edition of 1,000 pieces. A pillar of the brand, this timepiece blends historical authenticity with contemporary innovation. It features a round case crafted in silver stainless steel with an all-over mirror-polished finish, measuring 41 mm in diameter and 14.80 mm thick, weighing 69 g. It is completed by a bidirectional bezel with a black insert and black notched edge, combining practicality with aesthetic appeal. The bezel features a minute track and a luminescent triangular marker. It surrounds a domed acrylic crystal with high impact resistance - a treat for vintage watch enthusiasts. On the right side of the case sits the signed, notched, protected crown with a D3 system, used to set the hours and minutes. It is flanked by two pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock for operating the chronograph. The case back features a solid screwed-down caseback guaranteeing 20 ATM water resistance, enhanced by a brushed finish and engraved inscriptions. This edition also complies with DIN 8310 (water resistance standard) and offers resistance to low pressure.
This watch features an inverted "panda" dial where pale yellow and black harmonize with quiet elegance. Highly contrasted for optimal legibility, its satin finish is enhanced by three sunray sub-dials for a striking aesthetic. It is a tricompax chronograph with three identical sub-dials displaying 30 minutes at 3 o'clock, 12 hours at 6 o'clock, and small seconds at 9 o'clock. The 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock registers feature black markers and hands, while the one at 3 o'clock is fitted with a red hand. The dial also features a bicolor black and red scale segmenting the minutes from 0 to 10. The eye-catching seconds hand pairs with the rhodium-plated hour and minute hands, which remain perfectly legible even in the dark thanks to their luminescent coating. For added readability, this treatment also covers the applied baton indexes on the dial's perimeter. These markers are accompanied by a detailed minute track with small red indexes. The entire composition is framed by a flange featuring a tachymeter scale in black. The finishing touch: the brand name signed below 12 o'clock and "Made in Germany" beneath the 6 o'clock index.
This model is powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement - the proven Sellita SW510 M caliber, featuring 23 jewels, a stop-seconds function, and a beat rate of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). It delivers a power reserve of 63 hours and offers protection against magnetic fields in accordance with DIN 8309. This movement provides reliable analog display and drives all additional functions at the highest performance level.
This timepiece comes in a special presentation box containing two easily interchangeable straps thanks to spring bars. A small tool is included so you can swap straps at home - no trip to a watchmaker required. Both straps measure 20 mm at the lug width and feature a signed, silver pin buckle.
The first strap is crafted in wild boar leather in a vibrant olive green with red stitching. Attractive, comfortable, and easy to wear, it pairs effortlessly with any style for a truly unique look.
The second strap is also crafted in wild boar leather, this time in black with white and red stitching at the edges. Elegant and refined, it complements the case tone beautifully - pairing this watch just as well with dark outfits as with colorful ones.
With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres (equivalent to 200 meters), this model rightfully earns the title of "dive watch." Our watchmaking experts agree: while it handles showers, baths, swimming, freediving, and recreational scuba diving with ease, it is not designed for extreme deep-sea diving where pressure would eventually exceed its limits. For professional divers tackling serious depths, we recommend models rated 30 atmospheres or above. We also strongly advise against operating the pushers or crown while submerged, to maintain perfect water resistance.
