The Watch

Garmin is one of the leading names in smartwatches. The brand's catalog spans several lines, designed for different audiences and a wide range of uses. Now, they're launching a new lifestyle model: the Garmin Vivoactive 5 010-02862-12. This timepiece stands out for its remarkable versatility and sleek style. It features a round case crafted from fiber-reinforced polymer with an anodized aluminum Metallic Blue Gold bezel for a striking look. It measures 42.20 mm in diameter and 11.10 mm thick, weighing just 26 grams, and is fitted with a Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 crystal that offers a clear view of the dial while protecting against impacts. On the right side of the case, two pushers allow you to navigate the various functions. The snap-back case back houses a biometric sensor and provides 5 ATM water resistance.

The Movement

The Strap

This watch comes with a soft, comfortable navy blue band made from silicone. It features a 20 mm lug width and pairs beautifully with the watch's overall look. It fits wrist sizes from 125 to 190 mm and is secured with a blue pin buckle and a green keeper loop. Swapping it out is a breeze thanks to the quick-release system.

Water Resistance

This model offers 5-atmosphere water resistance, or 50 m. While it's designed to be as beautiful as it is functional, that elegant look doesn't compromise its durability. You can wear it in the shower, though the Ocarat team recommends setting it aside to preserve its finish and longevity. Swimming and scuba diving are not recommended, as exposure to those conditions could damage the watch and result in repair costs.
