The Watch

Matwatches, a watchmaking house specializing in the production of special limited series for professionals, presents the AG7 XL LT4 from the Viper Aviator collection. Built with a 316L stainless steel case measuring 42.5 mm in diameter and 13.5 mm thick, this watch was developed with input from former US Air Force pilot Scott "Hurler" Weaver. For your comfort, it features a 3 mm double-domed scratch-resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystal - no need to worry about everyday bumps and knocks. The time is set via a 7.5 mm screw-down crown at 3 o'clock, finished in silver to match the watch. This timepiece sports a sunray-finished blue bezel graduated 1 to 12 in white. Thanks to its screw-down case back, it offers water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters - take it anywhere the water takes you! Finally, note that this watch is limited to 150 pieces worldwide, so make sure you secure yours before it's too late!

The Dial

This timepiece features a round navy blue sunray-finished dial, brought to life by 3 centrally mounted hands. The first two - indicating hours and minutes - are equipped with Super-LumiNova BGW9 technology for optimal legibility in any lighting condition. The third, the seconds hand, is dressed in a warm red that contrasts perfectly with the blue dial and echoes the bezel marker at 12 o'clock. The oversized rectangular indexes are also coated with Super-LumiNova BGW9, accompanied by Arabic numerals running from 05 to 55, with a large triangle marking the 12 o'clock position. A minute track runs around the perimeter of the dial, graduated with 60 baton indexes. The date window at 3 o'clock lets you read both the date and the time at a glance. The brand's signature is printed just below the 12 o'clock index.

The Movement

This AG7 XL LT4 model is powered by a Swiss automatic movement, caliber ETA 2824-2, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and featuring 25 jewels. A hallmark of quality and reliability, the automatic movement provides a power reserve of 42 hours. Driving hands and date window with precision and finesse, you can count on perfect timekeeping in any situation.

The Strap

This watch comes with not one but three straps - perfect for every occasion! The first is crafted in textured navy blue rubber; the second in navy blue vegetable-tanned leather with red contrast stitching; and the third in blue nylon, adding a casual touch to the ensemble. All three straps feature a deployment clasp and a 20 mm lug width.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, equivalent to 200 meters, this model can confidently be called a dive watch. Our watchmaking experts agree that while this timepiece is more than up to the task for showers, baths, lap swimming, freediving, or recreational scuba diving, it is not designed for extreme deep-sea diving, where the pressure would ultimately compromise its seal. For our professional diver friends looking to push depth limits, we recommend models rated 30 atmospheres and above. We also advise against operating the pushers or crown while underwater, to maintain a perfect seal at all times!
