The Watch

Straight from Japan, iconic brand Casio has become one of the most recognized names in watchmaking, thanks to its original, trend-forward designs that empower men and women alike to express their personal style. Part of the Vintage Edgy collection, this AQ-800E-7AEF timepiece reimagines the classic Casio AQ-450 from the 1980s with a modern, sophisticated twist. Its rectangular case measures 40.7 mm in length and 32 mm in width with a thickness of 8.7 mm - wearable by both men and women - and is crafted in chrome-plated resin, weighing 52 g. The pushbutton on the right sets the analog time, while two additional pushbuttons on the left control the digital screen and its functions. An acrylic crystal sits over the dial, protecting it against everyday knocks and scratches. Finally, the snap-on caseback provides water resistance to 3 ATM.

The Dial

This timepiece delivers both elegance and functionality through its stunning dual-display dial, which echoes the case's retro character. Two hands and a slim seconds hand sweep across the grid-pattern background, marking hours, minutes, and seconds. They are joined by a minute track and stick-shaped indices positioned at the edges. The light grey background is printed with "Casio Quartz" at 12 o'clock and "Water Resist" at 6 o'clock. Beyond the analog display, the watch features a digital LCD screen showing the time and all functions in Arabic numerals. Its black background displays "Alarm Chrono" and "WR", along with labels for each pushbutton function.

A second local time can be set and checked at a glance - ideal if you frequently call overseas, for example.

Stopwatch Function - 1/100 sec - 1 hr

Elapsed time, split times, and total time are measured to 1/100th of a second, for a maximum duration of one hour.

The Movement

A flawless Japanese-made quartz movement powers this watch. From Casio, the caliber 5696 delivers precise timekeeping and reliable display of all functions. Its battery ensures a lifespan of approximately 3 years.

The Strap

A bracelet extends from both sides of this timepiece's elongated case. Crafted in stainless steel, it features long, narrow links arranged horizontally, reinforcing the watch's retro, elegant aesthetic. Designed for wrist sizes from 150 to 205 mm, this bracelet drapes your wrist with finesse and fastens with an adjustable clasp. Note that the lug width is 21 mm.

Water Resistance

With water resistance rated at 3 atmospheres, equivalent to 30 meters, this watch isn't built for aquatic adventures. It's fine for handwashing or light household tasks, but the Ocarat team strongly recommends leaving it on the nightstand before you shower or bathe - and locking it in the hotel safe before you hit the pool or dive into the sea.
