A brand defined by its design, SevenFriday has carved out a name for itself in the highly competitive world of watchmaking. Today, in true keeping with its philosophy, the manufacture is proud to present its latest creation: the T2/06 - T-Works watch. Drawing inspiration from science fiction and the industrial revolution, this timepiece sports a distinctly neo-retro look. Its case, crafted entirely in stainless steel, is coated with black PVD, with finishes alternating between polished and satin surfaces. This combination gives it a resolutely industrial feel - almost reminiscent of a cast-iron tool. As for its dimensions, the diameter measures 45 mm lug-to-lug and the thickness comes in at 12.95 mm. These proportions make it a watch geared more toward a men's audience. The bezel features a stunning groove filled with Berlac Gold lacquer, evoking the collectors and gauges found on steam-powered machines of the era. To properly protect the dial, a hardened K1 mineral crystal has been fitted. At 3 o'clock, you'll find a crown, also in black PVD stainless steel. A nice little detail: the top of the crown is decorated with the brand's logo "7F". The case back is secured by 4 screws and crafted in polycarbonate to allow the timepiece to establish a connection between its NFC chip and your phone. There you'll find technical information about the watch, including its dimensions and water resistance rating of 3 ATM. You'll also see the NFC mention indicating that such a chip is present in this model. Using it, you can authenticate via the SevenFriday app and register your watch.
A stunning dial in black and gold tones takes center stage. The chapter ring has been treated with a 2N Gold galvanic finish of the "circular brushed" type. The hour hand is represented by an almost complete circle in white, with a larger circle at its base. The minute hand features a circular base with a "baton" shape at its tip. The dial on which the hands dance was crafted from a solar lens with a semi-transparent grey gradient tint. Thanks to this feature, you can catch a glimpse of the gears and cogs that bring this watch to life. The hour indices in Arabic numerals are printed in 2N gold. Complementing them, a beautiful minute track, forming a gold circle, runs around the dial. You'll find the inscription "Automatic 40 HRS" at 3 o'clock. Finally, the brand authenticates this creation at 12 o'clock with its name.
This model is powered by a Japanese-made Seiko-TMI NH70 automatic caliber, delivering a comfortable power reserve of 40 hours. It also features a manual winding system and hacking seconds.
Adding a distinctive elegance to this timepiece, a black calfskin leather strap was selected. You'll notice subtle tone-on-tone topstitching delicately running along its edges. The lining is also finished in black.
With a water resistance of 30 meters - or 3 atmospheres in watchmaking terms - this watch is by no means a swimmer. Water is its delicate movement's worst enemy, and our team strongly advises keeping it dry. It can handle rain or doing the dishes, but skip the shower, the bath, the pool, and definitely the deep end of the ocean - this one much prefers to stay dry!
