The Watch

Alpina is a Swiss watch brand with several collections inspired by motorsport, aviation, and even diving. Alpina presents this watch from the Startimer Pilot collection. It features a round case crafted in 316L stainless steel, measuring 41 mm in diameter and 11.50 mm thick - dimensions perfectly suited to men's wrists. The design is refined by a silver tone and brushed and polished finishes. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating sits above the dial, protecting against shocks and scratches while ensuring optimal legibility. The case also features a graduated bezel marked with a red triangle at 12 o'clock. At 2 and 4 o'clock, two knurled crown pushers give you access to the various function settings. Finally, this watch is equipped with a screw-down caseback engraved with the Startimer motif, providing water resistance of 10 ATM.

The Dial

This round dial features a green sunray-finished background. The GMT function, indicated by a red arrow, is displayed via the names of 24 cities on the inner flange. Below it, white Arabic numerals mark the hours in 24-hour format. These numerals have a green background for evening hours and white for daytime hours, followed by a minute track. The center of the dial is adorned with gray hands and white Arabic numerals showing the time in 12-hour format, all treated with SuperLuminova C1 for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. The hands indicate hours and minutes, while the seconds hand features a red triangular counterweight. Finally, the date is displayed in a window at 3 o'clock, and the brand's logo appears near 12 o'clock.

The Movement

The brand chose a Swiss-made quartz movement - the AL-255 caliber with one ruby - to power this watch's functions with precision. It provides reliable analog display and a battery life of approximately 45 months.

The Strap

The strap of this timepiece is crafted in 316L stainless steel in a silver tone. It features rows of brushed outer links and polished center links. A deployant clasp with push buttons makes it easy to adjust to your wrist. The width at the lug is 21 mm.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 100 meters - or 10 ATM in watchmaking terms - this timepiece is as at home at a black-tie gala as it is in the water.
