The Watch

Born on the banks of the Weser River, German watchmaker Schaumburg Watches specializes in horology - and more specifically, in mechanical movements. Manufacturing and hand-finishing its own calibers, this watchmaking house has earned a reputation for craftsmanship and creativity, delivering collections that lean heavily into vintage aesthetics. The Squarematic collection, for instance, features square-cased watches whose curves evoke a bygone era. The Squarematic 1950' TV is built around a 39x39mm brushed steel case. The flanks and polished steel bezel provide a striking contrast. A round crown at 3 o'clock lets you set the time manually. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal. The caseback is secured by screws and features a transparent exhibition window, revealing the black rotor within.

The Dial

The dial ring features a black minute track punctuated by white dots at each hour. Moving toward the center, you'll find eleven 3D "baton" hour markers in a wood tone - the one at six o'clock being slightly shorter to accommodate a date window. At twelve o'clock, a raised Arabic numeral marks the hour in place of a baton index. Against this white dial, the three gold-brown hands display the time with precision. The hour and minute hands are of the "dauphine" style. The maison's name and collection are printed in black on the dial.

The Movement

The Squarematic collection runs on an automatic movement. The "Swiss Made" caliber references SW-30A, designed and manufactured in-house by Schaumburg Watches. It displays hours, minutes, and seconds analogically.

The Strap

This strap stands out for its material: crafted from apple fiber, it has a subtly textured, vintage-inspired look. This black strap is clean and classic - no stitching, no patterns. It fastens with a silver pin buckle.

Water Resistance

This watch is no water lover - and neither is its delicate mechanism. Water is its worst enemy, so our team strongly recommends keeping it dry. Rain or dishwashing? Fine. A shower, a bath, a swim, or a deep-sea adventure? Absolutely not. Keep it on dry land where it belongs.
