Founded in 1988, Frédérique Constant is a prestigious watchmaking brand renowned for crafting timepieces that are rare, beautiful, dynamic, and contemporary. Its collections honor the mechanical ingenuity and refined aesthetics of Swiss watchmaking. Committed to the highest quality, the manufacture continuously invests in technology and production expertise. Pushing the boundaries of innovation, it introduces the captivating Slimline Manufacture Perpetual Calendar FC-775CH4S8. Available as a limited edition of just 10 pieces, this model stands among the most innovative and elegant perpetual calendar watches ever produced. A true mechanical marvel, it is engineered in accordance with classical watchmaking principles while meeting today's demands for robustness, reliability, and ease of adjustment. Its design is defined by its shape, timeless style, and the refined finishing of its curves - a perfect blend of the classic and the contemporary. The watch features an elegant round case, slim and refined, with a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 12.05 mm. These proportions make it a distinguished timepiece that will look exceptional on masculine wrists. The case is crafted in 18K White Gold and finished with a mirror-polished surface that gives it an even more distinguished appearance. The short, slim, and rounded lugs have a downward orientation for enhanced wearing comfort. The case is topped by a convex sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, ensuring optimal dial legibility. The watch also offers excellent protection against scratches and potential damage to the crystal. Hours and minutes are set via the 2-O-Ring crown positioned at 3 o'clock, featuring deep converging grooves for added elegance. On both flanks of the case, you'll find discreet pushers for adjusting the remaining complications. The pusher near 5 o'clock advances the week, while the one at 10 o'clock simultaneously advances the day and date. The pushers at 11 o'clock are used to set the month and leap year display. The screwed case back features a transparent sapphire crystal window offering a clear view of the finely decorated movement. You can admire the pearlaged main plate, circular Côtes de Genève, blued screws, and the skeletonized rotor engraved with the brand name. The case back ensures water resistance to 3 ATM.
The dial of this watch is refined, with a clean look that is rich in detail. In ivory, it features a sunray finish that captures even the slightest source of light. Punctuated by slender applied baton indexes in metal, the dial is completed by leaf-shaped hands in brass with a nickel-grey tone, creating a striking contrast. The absence of a seconds hand preserves the purity and simplicity of this timepiece without compromising legibility. The dial is characterized by three counters positioned at an ideal distance from the center, giving the design a sense of harmony and visual balance. They reflect the care given to their aesthetics through their snailed finishing and blue markers that delicately elevate the overall look. Located at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock, these sub-dials display the date, day, and month along with the leap year, respectively. At 6 o'clock, Frédérique Constant reveals a Moon Phase display, beautifully crafted with a blue sky and silver stars and moon - enhanced by what appears to be a powdered finish. This is achieved through an incredible new technology called "laser ablation," which enables the creation of a highly detailed and precise moon image. The finishing touch is the brand signature just below this complication, with "Swiss Made" inscribed on either side of the 6 o'clock index.
This model is powered by a high-performance in-house automatic movement - specifically the FC-775 caliber, developed, produced, and assembled by Frédérique Constant. Measuring just 6.7 mm in thickness, it beats at a frequency of 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour. The caliber features 26 jewels and delivers a solid power reserve of 38 hours. It distinguishes between months of 30 and 31 days, as well as the days of February, and drives all central display elements with outstanding reliability.
This stunning watch is complemented by a blue alligator leather strap, enhancing its aesthetic appeal by echoing the blue accents of the dial. Its beauty is revealed through the irregular pattern of scales on the surface and the tone-on-tone stitching along its edges. It measures 21 mm at the lug width and 75 × 115 mm in length. Comfortable to wear, it fastens around the wrist with a pin buckle.
This watch offers a water resistance of 3 atmospheres, or 30 m - designed for dress wear, not aquatic adventures. It shines at social events and formal gatherings, but water is not its element. It will handle rain, splashes, and the occasional dishwashing without issue, but that's where it stops. We strongly advise against wearing it in the shower or bath, and even more so while swimming or diving.
